Couple more down
CWpredator replied to galiuro mountain man's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
How is that LBC upper? I'm looking at buying one and have heard good things! Nice lookin rifle and awesome knockin the yotes out!!! -
My favorite trucks for sure. The 4cylinder 2.4s are definitely indestructible. I won't drive anything off road besides a Toyota. Good luck in your search. I've been lookin for a late 90s Tacoma 4 door right now. Picture of my Toyota I built up.

Lots of bows will still work like that but they definitely won't shoot properly or the way intended. A bow on an engineering stand point performs best when all fasteners(bolts/screws) are bottomed out. That's the way the bows are designed. They will still shoot but you won't get the performance out of the bow... (Speed recoil reduction and overall shoot ability) I work in an archery shop and get this all the time. Best bet is to buy a bow that the draw weight fits you best maxed out that's where best performance is achieved.

I've got the itch and can't wait to hit the lake! March-July are some of my favorite months of the year. Great way to spend the off season "bow hunting"... There are 2 tournaments coming up that I know of. First is bill like bass days at lake Pleasnt and the 2nd one is one that HUNTAZ and I are putting on at Roosevelt lake! Here's some pictures of myself, HUNTAZ, and bowfishAZ and another buddy slaying the carp and buffalo last year!

You pay per day. If I remember correct it was 25$ a man per day and they gave us the weigh in times and everything when you resister. I would think registration would be at like 6 or 7 am Saturday or possibly even Friday afternoon. That's how it was last year. -
Really surprised to see the amount of snow at home (poor Toyota) and when I got to work. A few pictures.

Elk Hopscotch?... its sad to see. Good thing predation isn't a problem like here in AZ. Those elk wouldn't stand a chance.

2 1/2 Times the Number of Elk and Pronghorn Applicants
CWpredator replied to mpriest's topic in Elk Hunting
lol...You only qualify for free elk tags if you can't provide a drivers license and....you haven't been in the country illegal for more than 5 years. hahaha what if I quit working, leech off the hard working man, and claim my residence as D.E.S? Do I then receive the free elk, antelope tag? -
Shed hunting is always a mystery. Some time on top of each other and sometimes the other side doesn't exist. Looks like the same bull to me. Awesome bull and to top it off great pair of sheds!

Keep your glasses. Optics hold value and this gun craze won't last your being offered about 1500$ worth in regular market and 2000$ at todays market. Last I looked a good pair of Leicas were still 2200-2400$ every day. Do yourself a favor and wait for right buyer or right trade. Good luck on sell!

My favorite is any AR platform .204 ruger 20practical or .223 just because of fast follow up shots. Depends what you're looking for. If your hunting for hides 20 cal is probably best because It hardly ever exits. If you want to blow stuff up for smaller varmints like prarire dogs 220 swift is the nastiest with 22-250 right behind. For larger varmints like coyotes if you looking for an explosion 25-06 or 243 is perfect with velocity and longer range capability.

desertbull is right. 30moa is probably the way to go considering 30cal after 1000/1100 yards starts to drop quite dramatically.

Just looked at it and I guess they are already out of stock. Didn't take long...

Arizona Prairie dog hunting
CWpredator replied to Big Browns's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
You won't be disappointed its an absolute blast. Last year me and my buddy went through 300 rounds a piece in 2 days. -
20 MOA on my 338 lapua is more than enough to run 1 mile with a ton to spare. The 300rum has somewatt similar ballistics and I would immigine 40MOA would be overkill. My guess is 20moa base is more than enough to get the job done.

Really nice buck and great story. Congrats on a successful season!

Is the hype over AR's finally calming down?

I think we still have a while left of the madness! Sucks but things don't just change over night.... -
I killed my first pig of the season on January 4th. It was a over the counter 38M tag. I went after work that day and found them with about an hour of light left. I put the sneak on them and that's that 1 pig down. I went back out today for a big buck I have been seeing and only turned up pigs so I went in on them and put another one down. It was a difficult shot. Had to thread the needle at 42 yards but I put a dot shot on pig number 2 and got the job done. 1st pig field dressed 51lbs and pig number 2 from 34a field dressed 42lbs. 2 good pigs down! First two pics are pig number 1. last two pics are pig number 2.

Rifle2bow the one I shot in 34a was in the experimental range up by the helvisha mine. I saw 2 herds in there. One had 14 the other had 8. Good luck on your hunt!
