$3,000.00 Custom 257 Weatherby Magnum, Mark V, Nightforce NXS, Shilen Barrel, Timney Trigger, Talley Rings

Another one of my custom rifles up for sale... This custom build started as a Weatherby Mark V Ultra Lightweight factory model (from the factory it weighs under 6lbs) in the .257 Weatherby cartridge ($2,100 MSRP...no I didn't pay retail...who does that). I stripped the fluted #2 contour factory barrel (still have it if you want it) and had a Shilen match barrel installed, the receiver was blue printed, bolt face was trued and lugs lapped, stock was then glass bedded, then added a Timney trigger, a 20 MOA rail, Talley rings and to top it off I just mounted the Nightforce 5.5-22x56 scope with the NPR-1 illuminated reticle to sweeten the deal. Awesome deer rifle, flat shooter, shoots sub 1/2" groups with Weatherby factory ammo and my custom loads. (It loves the Barnes 115g TSX bullets (devastating when they hit animals). $3,000 for the full set up PLUS over 150 brass (some are brand new-never even prepped, all brass are factory Weatherby), RCBS dies and just under 100 of the 115 TSX bullets I have left. Call with questions, thanks for looking... Ric 602-330-4664- 11 replies

Weatherby Vanguard SUB MOA ( same as the new range certified, not to be confused with the new S2.) chambered in .257 Weatherby Mag. has a Bell and Carlson aluminum bedded stock, Black and grey spider web. Leupold base and 30mm rings that have been lapped and a Huskemaw 5-20x50 scope. I still have the two free certificates for custom turrets, to go along with the scope. I have purchased a used Hornady reloading die but haven't used it. As I never bought a reloader. I have some factory ammo to throw in as well. I have only fired factory Hornady ammo through this rifle. I will separate the scope and rifle for the right price. I can send you better pictures if interested. I currently have the scope mounted to the rifle but in the pictures it is not. Thanks If I don't answer leave a message or text, I normally won't answer calls I don't recognize Nate four8zero-6eight8-8one3nine $1750.00

I'm looking to buy an elk rifle in 300 win mag and stuck between two as of right now. Please let me know what the pros/cons or what your thoughts are. The first one is the Remington 700 xcr tactical and the second is the weatherby accumark v. The overall length and weight is almost identical. There is about a 600.00 difference, if I went with the Remington what could or should I do with the difference. Fluted barrel vs. non and break or no break. Weatherby do make the mark v in a ultra lightweight, how much of a benefit that 2 pounds. Thanks for any info.
