DCMHunter Report post Posted July 27 DAD put the wrong number in and Ash drew a unit 28 az mule deer hunt. We have limited knowledge of the area with a few javelina hunts. Looking for a few good starting points not looking for any honey holes. Been along the power line west of Duncan and a little bit around the black hills. 30 years ago I hunted whitetail around the turtle mtn are the any muleys in that area? Will have limited time for scouting, any help would appreciated. Thanks and if you are headed for unit 1 or 2, I might be able share some areas. cohntr6 Report post Posted August 3 I would try those spots you mentioned already. A little lower around turtle mountain instead. Bonita creek, the scenic by-way and Gila box are options. A few of the dirt tanks that have been dry for years that I drive by in the Black Hills are now holding a little water with recent storms. A friend has the 2nd hunt in 28, which one do you have?
