E-Caller question

I know that some callers have an option to hook an external speaker to the unit but when you do that does that automatically cancel out the speaker on the call and only use the external speaker or does it actually use both the internal speaker of the call plus the speaker you hooked up to it?  Basically what I'm asking is if I have a cheaper Fox pro unit that hooks to a speaker can I make it louder or am I limited to the speaker that I hook up to it as far as how loud it can be?

I don’t have a fox pro, I have an icotec gc500 when I connect the external speaker the speaker on the call doesn’t work. 
 

I got an external speaker cuz the sound quality of the gc500 is trash. Electronic calls are loud af stock

Thanks, that is exactly my concern.  I bet there is a way to do it but not sure how.

You should be able to set it up to run both speakers with most Foxpro units. Check the manual for the caller you have to make sure. The manual should tell you if and how you can set it up. A lot of people run multiple speakers with Foxpro units.
