ctafoya Report post Posted December 27, 2025 I'm looking to play around with some finishes on some firearms. Has anyone used the Brownells Aluma hyde? Pros cons? The bake on duracoat is not an option for me, I don't have that large of an oven. Any suggestions, horror stories, or good results? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
QCwtAddict Report post Posted December 27, 2025 I think duracoat makes an air curing product that doesn't require baking. It's been over 10 years ago I bought some for a rifle but ended up using it on an aluminum archery stabilizer that I had made. I never really used the stabilizer so I can't comment on the durability but I was happy with how the finish turned out. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
