**SOLD** Marlin Model 1895 SBL (#70478) in 45-70 Govt

Recommended Posts

A good friend of mine has some medical bills that need to paid.  He has asked me to help him sell a couple of firearms.  All of the firearms I am listing are in my possession and I will be handing off the firearm(s) and standing behind each transaction.  My friend needs to raise some cash and feels that this is his best way to do that - otherwise he would not be selling them.  Accordingly, no trades can be entertained.

For Sale:  Brand new, never been fired Marlin model 1895 SBL in 45-70. This rifle was manufactured in late 2024 and purchased new in 2025.  The rifle is a stainless steel model with laminated stock.  The barrel is 19.1" in length and threaded (11/16-24) for the muzzle device of your choosing.  The rifle also has an aftermarket, ectended picatrinny rail.  I would rate this rifle 98 out of 100.  The package includes the rifle, a soft case and two (2) 20 round boxes of Double Tap 405 gr. hard cast solid bullets (valued at $50/box).  I checked online with gunbroker, Bud's gun shop and a few other retailers.  Most stores were out of stock.  The lowest base price I could find was $1,225 (before shipping of $70 snd taxes of $105).  So lowest final price: $1,410.

Asking price: $1,200 for the rifle, case and ammo   The seller will entertain offers, but they need to be fair.

Any questions you have regarding the rifle - please post them in this thred.  Any offers can be sent to me via PM.  I am located in the N Phx/ Sctsdl area.

No box or tags, just what is shown in the picture.  This rifle has never been fired,  If he had the box and tags, the asking price would be more in line with gunbroker comps of $1,300 before shipping and taxes.  He feels he is giving a $200 dollar discount for not having the box or tags, butincludingh the $100 in ammo.
