while reading about the all the grouse it got me thinking about hunting them with my GSP while on my elk hunt while i am up in unit 1. does anyone know where we could see some grouse up there?

From what I've heard, get up high like 10k ft. find the alpine meadows and work the edges.

Maybe the blue?

Yep, there's grouse up there, look above 7K ft. around Hannagan Meadow, Big Lake, etc. My nephew and I got one up there not long ago, while the season was open.

Oh, yeah, the season's closed now.
