jefftrucker12 Report post Posted April 17, 2012 been out 5 differnt evenings in the last week and a half. First time caught 9 (threw 3 small ones back). second time none. Third time 3 trout, then 4th and 5th time (5th being today) got none. Why is this lake so hit and miss. Unlike catfish, trout are visual feeders, somedays they like what they see, sometimes not. Are you moving around the lake to find hot spots, or fishing in the same spot all the time? Water temperature and oxygen quality at various levels can change daily and hourly, and trout will move up and down to stay in the zones they prefer.
