gps touch screen

Recommended Posts

Just curious how these work in the field under bad weather conditions. i'm getting a new Garmin Rino for my birthday but I'm not sold on touch screens. If my phone gets water on the screen its useless. I can't have my GPS not working or me having to hide somewhere out of the rain so I can use it.

thx so much!

I have the rhino 650 and it is a touch screen. while i havent been in heavy rains i have used it while it rains and the screen gets water drops on it and it works fine. I do try to keep it out of the rain as much as i can but it has gotten somewhat wet and worked.

need a screen saver, mine is scratched pretty good and I'm careful, I usually grab a small stick to use as a stylis, sometimes buttons gets pushed while it is in your pocket and if you lock the screen it beeps at you, love mine but still have a few things to work on
