Canning for the year is almost done.

34 jars tomatoes

23 jars of salsa, roasted, and regular

19 Italian sauce, garlic, basil, oregano, thyme

5 pepper,onion,tomato mix

5 watermelon rind, marashino cherry mix

5 wild blackberry jelly

6 apricot, plum jam

58 bags of Sweet corn (frozen

3 bags of roasted green chilis (frozen)

 

All ingredients home grown, picked wild, or from local farmers.

Goodness!!!! The wife and have been canning bu nowhere near that amount! We can what we grow, pasta sauce, 6 jars. And salsa, 3 jars (ones gone already) that's it so far. Zucchini pickles coming soon.

That's cool we enjoy the crock pot cooking wit tomatoes. We are thinkin bout; a venture into zuchinni, carrots, cauliflower mix.

June n July are busy weekends for us every year but it's usually all gone in 12 months.

Also looking into pressure cooking beans.

My beans never came in this year, just stalks and vines. Zucchini however have been amazing! 14 since Tuesday off one plant. Way to many jalapeños to mention even though I hardly eat them.
