Snake ID?

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the random post but I thought it was odd finding this little guy at a buddies house off the 202 and Ray? I don't think it is a Thread snake due to its head shape, and it was always sticking its tong out which I have not seen a thread snake do in the past. I have grown up here in the east valley and have not seen many snakes "in town per say".

My finger is about 3" off the ground, just to reference how small he is.

Looks like a Sonoran Ground Snake. They come in varieties of color. Every once in a while i find one in my yard in Chandler.
