I don't hunt with a dog currently for quail and rarely come across fellow hunters in the day to day life but do you guys see quail move more when it rains or not? I'm asking because I was out this past weekend and it drizzled the whole time and i saw more quail in one weekend than I did all of last year?

Could be that the rain softened the ground making it easier the scratch for food. Or after hunkering down a while during the heavier rains, they need food for energy. After a rain is good scenting conditions for a dog.
