Here are the results from the fur sale.

At one point in time we and 5 different buyers that gave their word that they would be there. And a couple others that were interested in coming. In the end there were 2 buyers. But they are the biggest buyers and they paid well.

In the end it was as expected, good and well put up fur sold for high prices. And poor fur and bad put up went low or weren't wanted. It's simple, they are making clothing, if you don't put up your fur correctly, they can't use it. It's nothing personal. Learn what is wanted by the buyers.

Just because you have a fur does not automatically mean it's worth something. The seller has a job of putting it up properly so it can be used to it's full potential.

Start with fleshing it well/perfectly. If you don't flesh your hides well then they will rot and fur will slip. No one wants to spend good money on something you ruined. Then put it up nicely on a wood stretcher in a "Nevada Style" stretch. DON'T take it off the stretchers to early or it will shrink, wrinkle and loose it's usable shape!!! Then clean it! (One way is to Scrub with dry Borax) Clean all grease, oils, dirt, blood and borax off until it is a product that you would want to cuddle with in your own bed! Then and only then is it ready to be sold for it's best value. Many people are anxious and willing to learn these proper ways and their fur gets better every year! Others, don't.... 🤔

This sale and event continues to grow and gain attention. Next year a more traditional style sale in a large building is in the works. Thank you to all those supporters who showed up to help and have fun! Come out and support the ATA.

Lance, you and your crew put on an excellent auction. Well done. Hope to bring some fur next season. Need to try and get Dennis Heck there next year!
