Boycott Sportsman's Warehouse?
CouesWhitetail replied to Bravo's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
So you heard something from someone, and posted it hear without checking it out and that turned out to be misinformation.....that is pretty much the definiton of spreading a rumor.....again, i ask everyone to not post things like this that are based on rumors. -

Boycott Sportsman's Warehouse?
CouesWhitetail replied to Bravo's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I definitely agree with this, but that only works if someone reads the entire thread, not just the first post and takes it for truth, ya know? I added a note to the beginning of his post saying it was false. -

I was going to remove it, but I think it actually does a lot to stop the rumors. I actually think this thread might help SW by letting people know that this is a FALSE rumor. -

Guys, please don't spread internet rumors about companies.....especially ones that help support this site! -
Cole will do great work for you! And congratulations on your first coues!!
-
That's a definite rarity!! neat that you were able to speak with them afterwards too!

Great story and congratulations on your buck and to your dad for his buck! and I appreciate your request for people to put the scores of bucks under 100 so everyone can get better at judging them! You might not have noticed, but the redesigned main coueswhitetail page (not the forum) makes it easy for you to view bucks based on scores. You can search using the tags like "80-90" "90-100" "100-110" etc and it will pull up bucks that are in the photogallery for which we have scores. Look for those search tags on the right hand margin of the main home page www.coueswhitetail.com

yeah, they look a little pointed, but the whole track is sliding forward, elongating everything
-
They do look like lion tracks.....but sometimes in the mud things get very distorted. But no claw marks from a dog or coyote, very round paw shape (which I have seen dog tracks in mud do this), and what appears to be a double top lobe of the main pad on the rightside track, all point to lion.

AES Wild in the City event for Girl Scouts Jan. 26, 2013
CouesWhitetail replied to rthrbhntng's topic in Conservation Group Events
Awesome! I will spread the word to some girl scouts I know. -
here is what carlos wrote for his essay to win: Hunting is as real as it gets. Life and death; pain and suffering. Joy, sorrows, success and failures. When I’m hunting I feel closer to God. Engulfed in His glorious creation and creatures. The reenactment of what our ancestors have done for years, this is the very core of what drives mankind to hunt. The smell of freshly cut firewood and smoke coming from the campfire. And the sweet smell of gunpowder in the morning. The sound and feel of an arrow leaving its rest. The morning dew dripping off the leaves of the trees. The birds singing and the breeze thru the trees on your face. Time to think, time to clear my mind. The sunrises and the sunsets. The quiet…..the peace …..and quiet. No emails, text messages or outside world. Walking back to camp and hearing my children's laughter. The camaraderie and fellowship spent around the campfire and in the middle of nowhere. The bonding between friends that makes you brothers, actually it makes you family! A family that hunts together, stays together. Family, friends and the memories that we make. Hunting is Heaven on earth. Hunting isn’t just about the harvest, it's about instilling values, morals and ethics in our youth. Conservation, Preservation, Education; all which will ensure hunting’s future. More importantly, it will ensure our youths' future. Teaching them about life, death and the respect of both. What we teach our youth is what we are leaving for our future. We lay the groundwork for our legacy, respecting and being stewards of the land and the prey we hunt. Hunting is Heaven on earth.
