Here is a link to the one BMart mentioned....it's a great tripod. Personally I prefer the twist lock legs to the flip locks. I have had the flip locks break on other tripods. http://store.coueswhitetail.com/promaster-xc325c-tripod/

CouesWhitetail replied to Snapshot's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Thanks for the explanation Snapshot. It is my hope you continue to participate in the CWT forum. Sorry you felt the need to remove your content, that was never my intention. and I completely agree with your statement below! It's always been my wish that people could be more civil when dealing with opinions different than their own. "There are other members here who should consider a more civil path when people post something they don't agree with, rather than resorting to open hostility and name calling. Things can become toxic when one member pushes another too far. There are other entities that can ruin a website other than Political posts. It comes down to how people respond." fyi, I believe the forum does allow you to delete your own topics, but only if someone hasn't replied to them. Once others are involved in the discussion it doesn't let you remove the original post in the thread because then you would be deleting other members comments in addition to your own. -
For those wondering....This camp is designed to provide a safe and fun hunting experience for women who want to learn to hunt. Our target audience is adult women with 0-4 years hunting experience. Sometimes we get ladies who have not only never hunted, but they have NEVER camped!! Our goal is to recruit more hunters. Many women have expressed a desire to hunt, but were never given the opportunity to learn how. We provide them with mentors, food and all the equipment needed for the weekend hunt. The grant pays for the food, portojohns and insurance required to hold this camp. Everything else is done through donations and hardworking volunteers who give up their valuable free time to come help at this camp. We can always use more volunteers, so if you are looking for a great event to support, let me know and we can find a way for you to help. We hold the camp in Units 36A,B,C during the HAM hunt. It means a lot to the women who attend it and our volunteer mentors find it to be a very rewarding experience. you can read some recaps of the past hunts here: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/38497-womens-javelina-ham-hunt-2013-recaps/ http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/48422-2014-womens-javelina-camp-a-great-success/ For this year's camp info: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/2014/07/womens-javelina-camp-2015/

Political Discussions request
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Ok.....let's not rehash an already closed thread.....let's move on people.....now I am going to lock this thread too as it seems to be getting off topic. If you want to keep arguing over oneshot or dustin's comments in that prior thread, you can PM them. Both of those guys can obviously take a punch, so I am sure they would be happy to clarify any statements they made or beliefs they hold if you contact them privately. -
Political Discussions request
CouesWhitetail posted a topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Hey All, I just wanted to remind everyone that the political subforum was originally intended for political discussions related to hunting. This is, afterall, a hunting related website and I would like to see the political subforum get back to topics related to hunting. I am hoping you guys will help me with that. FYI, with all the subforums, there is a little description underneath them that describes the intent of the subforum. For the political subforum, that description is "This forum is for discussion politics related to hunting". Let's see if we can stick to that. Thank you! Amanda -
You do not have to leave the tendorloins with the gutless method! You just make an incision near the spine and reach in and cut or grab them out. It's pretty simple. And you can even decide to take the heart and liver after you are done with removing all the meat. What the gutless method does is let you handle all the meat without risk of cutting open any organs. If you decide you want heart and liver, then you can open body cavity and remove them.

Wow, this is great info! Thanks for taking the time to make this post. I didn't even realize you could do that. Thanks again!

Cleaning a deer is just like cleaning anything else, so one thing I recommend for people who want experience is to go cottontail rabbit hunting or jackrabbit hunting. You can get a lot of experience that way. The gutless method is the best! Definitely watch the videos and don't be afraid to just try it yourself if you can't get someone to show you. The only real concern about cleaning an animal (besides cutting yourself badly, please be very careful!) is that you try not to puncture internal organs like the intestines, bladder and stomach. But even if you do, you can clean that up and remove tainted meat and still have a great bunch of meat. The nice thing about the gutless method is you never have to handle any of the organs. It's so much easier. Just try and remember at the end to cut along the spine and reach in to tear out the tenderloins. Hopefully the videos show that.

Yesterday was the beginning of a long road to recovery....I am glad she is moving forward with this as her knee problems were keeping her from doing what she loved. I wish Ilene the best recovery possible!!

Thanks for your post Gino....I hate to seem any meat wasted, let's hope some take you up on your offer to find old meat a good home. For those that can't meet up with Gino or Dale, remember there are wildlife rehabilitation centers in AZ that can use extra game meat for the critters they care for. -
I was recently contacted by AGFD to see if I could help them find the owner of a trail camera that was found by a hiker and turned into the USFS. If you had a camera out in the Mt Bigelow area, you might want to check and see if it's still there. If not, send me and email with the make and model and location where you camera was and I can pass the info to AGFD so they can get the camera back to you.
