PRDATR, that would be Satan Goodness sakes, IA Born; now there's political correctness in the world of herpetology? Question for the experts; I walked out to a shed one dark and dreary night and felt around the wall for the light switch. Finally found it, flicked it on and there in the light was a rattler there coiled up at my feet. If I turned the light back off, would he not be there? .

Don't feel bad, I wanted pics too, but then edited the response. Gory pics put tattoos on the brain.

When I first saw the topic heading, thought someone had spotted me out and about the sticks. Scary stuff crawlin around out these parts. My dad used to have a shirt which pictured every creepy crawly thing here that bites, pokes and prods. Shirt read, 'Welcome to Arizona, now leave!;

Nice wolf. Many folk are clueless how big these dogs get. Sorry can't help on the taxidermy end but I do like SWtaxidermy's work in Scottsdale.

I'm heading out southwest today for some varmit calling and put some cameras up. But after that drenching last night, I'm not too hopeful about watching water sources.

Interesting. 240 years ago, Father Kino described the Santa Cruz near Tucson as a "fast and wild river." Be careful, Oneshot. After floods, river could have a lot of unseen hazardous like barbed wire and brush jams.

Hey Hoghntr... Theres a rattlesnake species in the Baja that lost it's rattles thru evolution. Right on the coast in the Sea of Cortez; heck of a place to get marooned.
-
"Got to feed him saki, also" Good to know, Rick. I'm tired of him bumming my beer.
-
As long as the cold beer is flowing, I'll pretend to listen. But seriously, I love snakes and used to rehome rattlers, what a marvel of evolution they are. But the rehomed snakes would find their way back and wind up meeting my hoe.

After driving with you in that Toyota, I wanted you put in a jacket, too.

Only thing I understood was beer,

That pic of Obrahma is from March, you should see him now. I give him tasty bouquets of grass and corn, massage him daily and sing him lullabies to ensure he's peaceful and tender.
-
You're pickin' up, what I'm layin down...LOL
