Gotcha! That sucks! Hopefully enough guys stand up and try and make a difference or we will continue on the same path we are on.
-
Sucks that one bad experience with different commissioners than the current ones would make you give up on the process. Might be exactly what the ones that were arrogant with you wanted.
-
Just spitballing here, but what about a harvest objective similar to bear. Again tho, this would require mandatory reporting. I like the idea of actually managing based on solid factual #'s not just a round about #.
-
Only problem is, they have no concept of either rifle or archery success rates...
-
This had to happen and will continue to happen at the rate we are going. Flatlander posted some actual NR #'s earlier this month and they were not really all that high. There was a pretty big increase, year to year, but the actual # was shockingly low to me. I remember about 15 years ago when shooting a deer with a bow was an accomplishment. Now, most guys I know that bow hunt, have shot multiple deer, myself included. I think I have taken 9 bucks with a bow in this state and only started bowhunting 16 years ago. Technology has changed and made the game easier. I urge everyone with an opinion on how to try and curb this trend to reach out to our G&F commissioners and let them know your ideas. Sooner or later, things need to change and trying to have a say in it will work out best for hunters.

Tough for a guide to give up his spots for a day or 2 hunt. Most will want to book longer just because their info is so valuable. Mullins would be my top choice for Unit 9. Don't forget about Josiah aka Sir Royal on here. As crazy as he is, he is a good guide and knows unit 9 well. He doesn't guide for the money, so I am sure he will hook you up with a great deal or maybe even do it for free. Send him a PM and see what he can do for you. Good luck

So when does this trail cam ban go into effect?
HuntHarder replied to couesdeerhntr's topic in The Campfire
dang dude, what kind of beer do you drink? -
50% still wearing masks at Eos gym in Surprise. Fml when doing cardio with a mask on. I thought my lungs were permafuked but just the results of gasping for air while wearing a mask.

maybe you guys down south can put together a quick group buy and send a runner. Just a thought.

Nice! Good on AGFD.

AES auction commissioner tags for elk and bison

Haha, tell your daughter you believe in leave no trace. As in, leave no trace of an inheritance for her. Lol. I got to thinking, we better reserve the donkey ride for Kirkpatrick. Lmfao. -
He Got a tag last year...

AES auction commissioner tags for elk and bison

Come on Dave, you got the $$$$, I can round up enough guys to make it Jimmy johnesque for the trophy photo. You gotta promise to let me ride the horse up to the kill site tho. -
Best sight for extending range
HuntHarder replied to Grizzly1022's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
Agree with WHT_MTNMAN. I have a few different bows. One wears a Garmin Xero and one wears a 6 pin slider Montana black gold. They both have their place but the Garmin maxes out at 82 yards on my bow. The Montana black gold can get out to 100 if I choose to send it. I sight in 20-70 yards on the pin and use the bottom pin as my slider out to 100 yards. -
Those are some awesome Audad! Congrats

nothing to gain? It's been too long since you owned your website. They hack verified members with good reputations to get easy access to $$$. Think about it, if Amanda was selling you something on here and said send me money, I doubt you'd hesitate. Now if it was a guys fist post, you tell him to go back to fgbook or something. They hack members accounts to gain your trust on their reputation.

Great post, I agree with about all of it. Im ok with reducing our technology tho. Trail cameras being a good start. Hard line stances and false statements get us nowhere.. Anyone who uses a trail camera should admit they make hunting and scouting easier. So does a bunch of other shitt we use. Waaay better stand to take than what Josiah is. Like I've said before, he is not smart enough to lead the anti ban. Too much emotion involved in his responses and little thought. Too easy to refute every one of his arguments. If he was smart he'd sit back and let someone else take the reigns online. Stay behind the scenes.
-
It was my understanding they r not legal during archery only hunts unless champ? Did I read it wrong? If so, we need to mount up and end that.
-
Wait.... I thought your argument was there were no threats? Stay on topic.
-
haha, I am not near smart enough to be a lawyer. I couldn't work for AZGFD because I couldn't survive on their wages and I am not a commisioner. Just like you, I am just a regular guy that cares about hunting.
-
Agree. The thing is, Hunters will not police themselves. examples. Thermal imaging came out, guys started using it immediately, agfd had to ban it. Cell phone cameras came out, guys used them immediately, those had to be banned as well. Airbows came out, guys started using them, AGFD got ahead of that, thank god. Drones, bowhunting in people's backyards, baiting, the list is endless and will always be endless. Everyone has different ethics and what they feel equates to fair chase. To be honest I would bet more than 50% of hunters could give 2 shits about fair chase. They just want to fill their tags. The select 10-20000 that post on forums probably care more than the other 280000 guys.
-
Do not forget about poor BC777. He stole cameras, got caught and had to make a quick decision. Give them back and get charged with it or get his sorry butt beat and still get charged with it. In 10 minutes, I was able to send AGFD 5 different threads of guys talking about kicking camera thieves asses. I agree with that, but it's EXACTLY what they say will happen. I will dig deeper when I have more time and send them a bunch more links to threads not only on here but also the other forums. Thank you for giving me the motivation.
-
To think, you are one of the guys who AGFD talked about when they talk about public threats. They say those oppose, steal or vandalize trail cameras... That statement is true for some. They then say that if someone gets caught doing this, there will be a threat to someone's safety. That statement is also true. I mean, in your thread from 2018, you make some pretty threatening statements ya big ole Grizzly bear. LOL. Your own words prove their case.

I never knew about that note #7 either. Good to know for the future. Has this always been the case, or is this something new?
