I agree with the close up shots, the six deer I’ve killed were All within 30 yards from a tree stand and blinds.. Closest was 1 yard. (What’s in this blind thing? Nudge nudge) 100 is something I’d like to be able to achieve. I doubt I’d actually ever try a kill at that distance. We’re a big bow family- there’s always the “dad, watch this shot” or “ I can do better than you at 40..60.. and we’re very competitive. What really fueled me for this- was last year on my sons ek hunt in 7w we were chasing bulls all day. We got really close to a few and they were solo bulls .. no cows (youth hunt) and it was at that moment when I realized what the big fuss for archery elk was in the rut. It’s not impossible to get close to a big elk,and they’re dumb enough to course correct you while you try. I think I’d want a reliable weapon when the time comes. That, and the guy at sportsman’s laughed when he restringed my bow. “I’ll special order that one for ya”. Other than a possible otc elk hunt, late August is the only hunt I’ll be doing. I want to make sure it’s a good one. It’s either mountains and monsoons or desert and snakes. Advice taken.. I’ll hit up some shops and go play.

I'm about to put up some cams on the property. I was going to get a set of Arlo Pro, but then I see the Blink system. Anyone use either? Any other recommendations?

Looking to get a hat- this isn’t something you mail order. I don’t see a lot of choices in Phoenix- where am I going? Phoenix metro..

I think I would as well. A used Tundra with 200+ miles is still like 18k from what I can tell. They hold their value well.

That looks awesome. I wish I knew more about how to get into that. That, and finding meteorites with large magnets tied to the Ranger as I drive all over and sell them 😊

I've decided on my first OTC Elk adventure in Camp Verde this year. This might be fun.

Good cold weather waterproof boots. Get a Havalon. Have three plans to stay warm. Start working out now!

Not wanting to believe my best scenario at this point is a 21 month wait on getting an elk..

Getting bad.. Winter weather, crashes, disabled vehicles close highways in northern Arizona PHOENIX – Both directions of Interstate 40 and southbound US 93 are closed in Kingman because of snow, ice and multiple disabled vehicles, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The I-40 closure is at Stockton Hill Road, near milepost 51. The US 93 closure is at Coyote Pass, milepost 69, which is about 2 miles northwest of I-40. I-40 eastbound is also closed at SR 95. All traffic must head south on SR 95. SR 87 is closed from Payson to Winslow because of snow and ice. This is from mileposts 254-337. State Route 87 southbound just south of Payson at milepost 250 because of multiple crashes. SR 260 in both directions between Star Valley and Heber. SR 260 eastbound is closed at mp 228, east of I-17. Drivers should consider delaying travel across northern Arizona during the current winter storm because heavy snow or crashes could make roads impassable. Real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler Information site at az511.gov, by calling 511 and through ADOT’s Twitter feed, @ArizonaDOT. When a freeway closure or other major traffic event occurs, our free app available at ADOTAlerts.com will send critical information directly to app users in affected areas – where possible, in advance of alternate routes.

I use Trapper Arne traps. They usually get me great results- old Swedish guy in Payson sells them online.

Hey all, Im trying to install a Reese Towpower brake controller. It's a 4 pin connector. I'm trying to install it in a 2004 F250 6.0 - and I think I found the brake controller connector but I'm not sure. (See pics). What kind of adapter do I need to get?
