My guess is, the officers have seen the same thing I have.. perfectly healthy and able bodied people and 10-14 year old healthy kids using crossbows and airbows because the system allowed them get around the intent of rule easily (I won't even speculate what some of the less reputable outfitters are doing - just going off of my observations) I'm guessing the commission jumped on what they did to start a campaign to get it changed without calling out the fact that all the dbags that abused it are ruining it for those that need it. Get rid of the Air, keep the xbow and manage it much much more stringently and I'm a supporter. As far as your hair pulling - my $1000 proof research barreled, 5.5lb savage UL rifles all shoot 3/8-1/2" with factory ammo and track out to 700 (as far as I have shot them to date and of course as much about the glass as rifle). I don't know what spending another $1000 or more would do for me personally but I guess I'll settle with that performance. I haven't felt the need to pull another rifle out of the safe in many years since these perform so well but Lot's of great choices out there and good on you for whatever you are enjoying.

And as stated - properly regulated for those in need - I’m all in. The current system has allowed the abuse causing this whole issue. Be mad at the abusers and root for it to be cleaned up so you and others that deserve it can have it. Thanks for your service and hard work defending all of us.

If you could read - I was speaking about mentoring for archery hunts when I couldn’t shoot a bow anymore vs using air or whatever you use and obviously can’t have a difference of opinion or discussion- you have to be a girl and pull hair. - you go girl - good one.

When I need it I’ll mentor archery hunts for those that need it to get my fix and rifle hunt for meat. If I get 50-60 years in archery hunting with a bow, I’ll call it a win and pass it on before I pick up the above mentioned. That’s just me though. The other things you mentioned, to me, are essential in life- archery hunting is not. just an opinion and no problem with crossbows properly regulated and those that actually need it. My experience with those in the field now are similar to those getting out of lifted trucks in handicapped spot walking into Home Depot. tighten it up, get rid of air, get rid of any old Dr signature and make it year by year and I’ll support it because you sure can’t rely on morals. All about those horns.

You mean if you can’t shoot a bow, you won’t be able to archery hunt? What a crazy world.

The best indoor shoot I have seen is at the great American outdoor show every year in Harrisburg. Picture 30 3ds spread out at different angles, distances etc. Then 6 stands. 1st stand you ahoot target 1-5 etc.; 2 stand 6-10 etc. Target 1-5 would be spread out among the 30 targets so you have different angles and distances at each stand. Rinse and repeat until all 6 stands are completed.

About time for all the above!

String and/or cable length/twists stand out to me.

Yet people still hire them. Been crooked for 30 years. Get them horns!

We witnessed this one time on Horseshoe Cienega many years ago. Heard of about 12 ran through a few times then all hit the water and swam within 30ft of the boat to get to the other side. Was pretty wild.

We build and use platforms for most everything except elk hunts. Kind of customize to meet our needs but keeps gear underneath clean and dry and provides storage, water, tie downs etc

In my experience an owl won’t eat the gizzard. So if that is gone, I would say falcon or hawk.

Let me know if you have any questions (I'm sure Presmyk can answer) but I prostaff for savage and happy to help if I can.

Don't sleep on that reneguage. I put about 500 rounds through one with skeet loads and never had a jam. I have a buddy in KS that waterfowl hunts more in a year than I do in a decade and loves it over his SBE (I'll never say anything bad about an SBE of course) but lots of adjustability, works and feels great and 100% machined amercian built.
