I know this is an undemocratic thing to say but is there another option like not allowing anyone to enter a sheep draw with less than xx points or something? I don't know how many tags go to less than 10 or 20 point holders every year but has to be a few that might help clear out the log jam up top a bit. I like everyone having a chance and the lottery gives that but with ultra-finite resources such as sheep, I can't believe expecting someone to only enter with 10 points would vilified too badly. Might be a start to something evil I get but just a thought

Waterfowl regs- duck limits
jdown replied to backcountry_brad's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
All are in play for the daily bag limit of 7, just restrictions for several species and the mallard limit changes year to year so I think the species is hard coded and just change the number preceding if it needs to and then additional bag limit for other non-duck waterfowl species like coots. -
I have a buddies 85 year old pops that did... If you are in the sharing mood, happy to pass on

I'm good with all the rules.. bring them on. Too many roads, too many idiots creating roads, too many idiots using the forest as their storage/summer rental, too many idiots ruining roads that should remain, burning fires during no fires, shooting when no shooting, and so on and so on and so on and so on.
-
Like everything else, just start enforcing the rules that are in place - but that doesn't seem to happen anywhere anymore.

Swarovski's first rangefinder that cyclops pos - couldn't operate one handed, couldn't find crap in it.... someone broke into my trailer and among everything else stole that - almost made it worth it to get rid of that thing.

I think the application draws a random number or numbers, not each individual on the application. At least I hope that is the case....

If they are starting to enforce it in the forests, that is great news. I hope they haul them out on I17/40 and put wheel chalks on them. It's ridiculous.

Steel targets - ready to go - need for this weekend
jdown replied to jdown's topic in Classified Ads
My guess is we will take what we can get and not 100% what was brought out yet but my guess is a lot of 6.5c, 308 type stuff. They might have brought out a 7mag this year... -

Very appreciative. I hate to borrow anything as this is going to get a few hundred rounds of abuse this weekend - very kind offer though. -
that used to be a kind of group home or old folks home for many many years. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry for my ignorance here but for the etag am I picking up that you need to print out a hard copy of the etag and attach that to the animal (assuming zip ties or electrical tape)? Then phone it within XX hours?

Never - our tax $ will go to paying gov't trappers before we generate income by allowing the public to control the population . that's my guess
