My guess is we will take what we can get and not 100% what was brought out yet but my guess is a lot of 6.5c, 308 type stuff. They might have brought out a 7mag this year...

Sorry for my ignorance here but for the etag am I picking up that you need to print out a hard copy of the etag and attach that to the animal (assuming zip ties or electrical tape)? Then phone it within XX hours?

Those little stevens 301s paired with TSS loads are pretty awesome. Can put a little red dot it if you want too. They weigh nothing and bust birds at 50-60 yards. And are like $200 new - if you can't find anything you are looking for used.

Ran into one guy hunting pigs this year that was trying to shoot one in the skull for his kid or nephew because he thought it would be a cool skull mount. No idea how many he wounded trying and pretty sure he didn't care, we watched him wound one. Not as bad as this but still left a bad taste in the mouth and the animals deserve better. I mean shoot one and then put one in the skull if that is your thing I guess but to me shameful.

You can always pull less poundage too.. plenty of elk getting killed with 50-60lbs bows
