I caught the final question on a family feud episode yesterday where they ask 100 people the question and the question was 'What is the largest State'. The first lady apparently answered Hawaii and thank God it had 0 responses, but the 2nd guy answered California and it had something like 20 responses and the real kicker was the number one answer was Texas with something like 54 responses. So by my math and based on this small sample - around 75% of the population are not all that bright. Feels about right.

Not great pictures, but the the big cutter buck was a buck we looked at all summer and had him glassed up along with the buck we shot the night before the season and ended up choosing the other buck to put to bed... Anyway, by far the biggest cutter buck we have seen (this was 2015). He was killed that year by AZ Pronghorn Guide service and was a toad. Love the buck we shot, but not so sure we made the right decision. 2nd buck was a 19B buck many years ago (04-05ish?). My buddy had the rifle tag that year and we heard this one killed during the archery hunt. Way before phone scope. No cutters, but cool 19B buck. If anyone knows of this buck, would love to see a a good picture of him and know what he scored (no prongs or mass, but was cool).

Just curious, Which one did he pick up? I have a 1892 win (I think it is a 1910 serial number). Fun round to plink with that I've always wanted to varmint call with just to say I shot something with it. A homer bucket at 50 yards doesn't stand a chance!

Looking to take a family trip to that area next summer with the trailer/kayaks etc and am looking for an RV park or space on or near a smaller trout type lake that we can anchor too for the week and fish/kayak there and day trip from. Exactly why I want to be up there about a year from now. Going to definitely take a day or two and try and hit that hatch with pt boat in hand. Then do the whole park and other stuff as well. Might even look into a guide float trip for the day and see the river a bit. Looks amazing! Any advice on guide services or locations to jump from would be awesome. I've hit the Animas, Juan and Green a few times, but never fished the West north of Utah.

I have less of an issue of someone putting the wounded animal down and sorting out the details after the fact than taking a pot shot, missing and moving the animal. This happened to us a few years ago.. moved the deer off of the ridge/pocket we felt good about getting back on and was coordinating to over a rode and to a north side that after 4 hours trailing, one hail storm and the next 2 days searching the area, never found him. In their defense, they may not have know the deer was hit, but these guys that think they can shoot a really long way, shouldn't always. Lots of variables.. I'm sure this guy and many others shoot legs off and never even know they hit them because they don't go down and sure as heck ain't walking over to check. Sorry--topic for another post...

Fantastic information, thank you all. Anybody stayed in the Palisades area? I see a couple of parks there connected to the snake and a reservoir? We've never been up there and the idea of glassing up Grizzles is very cool. Is that park such that you can just pick a road and start glassing?

Oh I forgot to mention, before lying down in the pickup, stack the interior shelves on the safe bottom or remove completely as I have seen them break during transfer (most are particle board).
