Do you work for Vortex?

Not a horrible idea, but the people who actually would get the most use out of something like this (the ones WITHOUT a truck/camper full of provisions nearby) aren't going to have the room or weight in their pack for something like this.

Are we supposed to know this guy? Isn't there a fishing forum on here?

Here's an idea... How about you give me half the money you're gonna spend on that behemoth, then we'll go out back, I'll kick ya in the nuts and we'll call it a day!?

What about all the burros???

I've used the hanging katadyn on an 8-day hunt in back country AK for 4 guys. The water we were starting with was seemingly very clean already, but the filter was pretty clogged by the end and was trickling through very slowly. I think it comes with a pump to push water back through the filter to clean it out, but we didn't bring it. Will in the future, though.

dang right, it's fair game for anyone to use if setup on public land. I wouldn't hesitate to sit in it. Can't throw your crap somewhere essentially calling "dibs". Inspecting the safety of it would take about 60 seconds as well..

Beaver or maybe a nutria. Was the bobcat legally taken or road-kill?

Resistance training. Lift weights. I'm sure even with a steel plate and screws you can do some lower body weight training as well.

Crappy situation. I don't understand the comment about the pump shotgun and the slate call, though? You saying that combination wouldn't work together or that he should've had a free hand to run downhill?? -
BPS is going to acquire at $61.50 per share.

BS flag thrown for the people offended about their kids seeing some salty language on this forum when they are stating that THEIR KIDS ARE ON THE INTERNET!!! Unless you've got some communist household rules and strong parental controls that are somehow effective in limiting their web surfing to this site only, then they are seeing a helluva lot worse. I'm sure the majority of them are on other social media sites where they are exposed to chit you don't want to consider that they are seeing. But ignorance is bliss, eh? OP was obviously having a little joke with this thread but people had to get all butthurt and take all of the fun out of it. Give me a F'n break!

I do not understand everyones' hard-ons over these dang coolers and cups. What has become of all of us hunters that we are such suckers for marketing?

Looks like PHX PD did their job. My handgun was pawned a few days ago, however the guy who pawned it claimed he bought it in a private sale. Cops know the story is BS but can't do anything about it. Unfortunately I have to go to a hearing between myself and the pawn shop to see who gets the pistol. Apparently if I show up it is no contest, but if I do not, the pawn shop gets it.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing!

Cool, good for him on making it happen on his own. Those blackbuck aren't a very big target. I'm heading to a ranch over the weekend with a group who are hunting some exotics. I'm hoping to bring back some meat! Horrible experience with the Outfitter, or just the hunting conditions were horrible?

I recently had a handgun stolen from my vehicle. I provided local police with the serial number and etc. I guess all a guy can do is hope that information is put into a database that is accessible by LE nationwide?

I'm 25 years your junior but have had tennis elbow since high-school. Hurts like heck at the beginning of every workout, but once you get a few sets in, it loosens (or numbs) up. Good job keeping up with workouts! Keep after it!

Haha, I haven't even heard the podcast but 3 posts into this thread I thought to myself this must've been the case. Maybe the title of this thread should be the Jay Scott Fanboy Roll Call.

Thanks,Matt. I've heard from one person so far here and I'm not sure if they officially signed up. Wish we could get another 1 or 2 volunteers!

If this violates forum rules, feel free to remove. Bowhunting Mentors Needed for Next Step "Retention" event When: Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 aproximately 6:30am-12:00pm Where: Robbin's Butte Wildlife Area. AZGFD is conducting its 2nd youth bowhunting event as a "next step" for a handful of kids who have participated in the Archery in the Schools program. The intention is to introduce these kids to hunting and wildlife conservation by pairing them with an experienced archery/bow hunter to lead them around the Department's Robbins Butte Wildlife Area on a hunt for rabbits. We will meet early for breakfast, run over some safety topics, let the kids and their mentors get familiar with one another, do some archery practice, and then go stalking around the open grasslands and hedgerows looking for rabbits. The kids will be using the Genesis bows that they are used to shooting in the program. But, their arrows will be outfitted with a small game point instead of a target tip. After hunting, we'll meet back at base camp to talk about our hunting experience and have a game/meat prep seminar with a couple of rabbits - hopefully a few from that morning! The meat will be fried up and served along with lunch before the group breaks for the day. Overall, its a pretty simple, relaxed event that makes some kids very happy. I was a mentor last year and will be there again on Saturday. Currently we have 7 kids signed up but only 3 mentors. Safety, patience, and a good attitude are key requirements to making this an enjoyable experience for the mentee and yourself. You don't necessarily have to be a serious archery hunter, or have been that successful in your personal hunting endeavors to make a good mentor for this scenario. Please PM me for more info, or contact Kelsey Gerchar, Archery Education Coordinator at 623-236-7287, KGerchar@azgfd.gov<mailto:KGerchar@azgfd.gov if you are able to volunteer.
