I imagine there is some sort of outfitter or guides associated with the event? If not, search for some in the area and see if you can arrange something with them to cape it out when/if you kill one.

Any of the guides or you competent enough to cape it out? Freeze it and bring back as carry-on in soft cooler.

I think the quality that Bushnell is putting out these days is crippling the Swarovski line. A lot of people are taking notice of Forges and quickly switching and finding more deer and bigger bucks.

Saw an insta-hunter post about arrowing a "carmini" whitetail in Mexico. Anyone ever heard of this (newly recognized?) species? We really going to split hairs based on what dang mountain range you kill it in?

Not sure... I googled it before posting and didnt see anything other than Carmen Mtns whitetail either. Crimini is in the scientific name, so could very well be one in the same.
