What is the cost to buy a raffle ticket and do you have to have cash only?

I caught a few bass up in the canal near Kiwanis park. I was surprised I had more luck in the canal than the actual lake. My apologies, the picture is slightly blurred.

Looking to get a group together for duck season
TonyC posted a topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Hey all, this will be my first ever duck hunt this year and I'm looking to joining up with a few who have experience. I'm very patient and a quick learner. I am hoping to join up with a few to learn "the game" and hopefully bring home some duck to the table. -

Wonder how much it would cost to ship compared to buying some here? -

Well, I'm just trying to gauge whether its even possible to duck hunt because I should be able to afford a decent pair of waders but I don't think a boat will be practical with my finances. Might be able to borrow one from a buddy if I ask around and get lucky. As far as warmth goes, I'm not too worried.. as long as I don't get soaked I'll be comfortable. I seem to always "run hot" ... haha I'm the guy that everyone notices wearing shorts all year long -

Awesome you guys, thanks for the information. I'll be reading up on it every chance I get. Now, being that its waterfowl, its pretty much implied that I'm going to need some chest waters or some type of boat to retrieve these quackers? Depending on the type of water source and depth.. -
Caring for game in the field
TonyC replied to Matt Meyer's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Aw man, that's funny! I don't care for that kind of stuff but it doesn't bother me none. As long as I don't have the same fate of some giant squishing my guts out... I'm good. I was freaked out the first time I filleted a fish and cut through the spine.. found out that the dang fish can still flop even if its dead! Scared the crap out of me! haha.. -

6ANUT, I would appreciate any advice/information you would be willing to give up and if you ever feel so generous to take someone under your wing (pun intended); I would be honored. -

Thanks hoss. Yeah, it would be nice. I tell ya, it's a hard time trying to get started into hunting at an older age .. haha. If you are considered "youth" then there are tons of opportunities. Dang shame that all the beginning hunters got to ruin a good thing by "blabbering their jaws" to others. Well, any advice would be most appreciated. Any stuff that i MUST have? I just got my 12 gauge and planned on purchasing a call when the time comes. I know most people set up a blind and have decoys and all the works.. but unless I join up with a few that have these things. I won't be able to have that luxury. -
May be a dumb question but I'm assuming their is a ticket/price to enter into the raffle?

Lake Mead Striper trips: July 11 and July 12 2015
TonyC replied to Capt. Don Martin's topic in Fishing
Holy smokes! Are the strippers extinct by now? haha j/k Congrats! -
Well, thanks. We just want what is best for the pup. Unfortunately, my dogs aren't to fond to a puppy biting them in the rear.. haha (ankle biter) That and my girls are scaring her because they want to play with her but they act like she's one of their toys Overall, it sucks to give her back because we really enjoyed having her and were very excited to get her but she deserves to be in a place where only the best treatment is there.. There will be another time in the future when i can save a pup.

Well.. I'm not too proud to admit but Daisy will be going back to muledeerarea. Unfortunately, the wife feels a bit overwhelmed with the girls and a puppy. She is such a joy though and will be hard to let her go. But.. we all know who rules the house.. "a happy wife is a happy life"

Daisy and I got home a bit late but she took to home like a pig in mud! She is loving it here and is such a beautiful pup and so happy! There will be more pictures to come but here is her sleeping in a little "tote box" to get her warmed up to the kennel/crate.

Awesome! I will definitely keep in touch with you couespursuit. As far as the "type" of dog. I'm not quite sure. I would be pretty much happy with anything, the main thing is that she is obedient. (which falls on the basics of my training) I would love to meet up with you sometime and talk about all this stuff and see how you went about training. punxsutawn, thanks for the reference I will add it to the list. We've decided to call her "Daisy"

I will definitely be posting pictures! The family is extremely excited to have her join the family. I will continue to post about her progress. I'm hoping to get her trained and outdoors with me in the near future! Anyone who has advice on training, I would be glad to hear it! I've been reading tons of stuff and most from a book called "Gun Dog." Also, I am looking for others to meet up and have a "dog play day"
