Mesa Park of the Canals has an Orienteering Course where people can practice for free. Starts near the bathrooms. Markers are on the ground. The Gilbert Reparian Park also has a course a Boy Scout is currently repairing for his Eagle project. Should be completed in the next couple of weeks. Markers are short poles. Starts by the first sidewalk junction near the parking entrance. Is anyone aware of any other free orienteering course locations? Something individual scouts/ hunters/others can go do in open spaces safely?

Scott said the problem was a very hot round. Makes one realize why reloads or ammo with uncertain origins can be so dangerous. 50's are really fun to shoot. The youth have thoroughly enjoyed the one we have access to. Just be very careful , even with a Barrett. A potential 4 miles is a long way be certain nobody will get injured by the round or fragments. But what a blast to shoot a mile or two!😁

Todd at Southern Xpress makes fantastic rifles. Dang guy is a perfectionist. Built me a blackpowder rifle that shoots 700 yards plus. I just put in for my hunts yesterday. Doesn't surprise me that it shoots 1000+ yards. Take a close up picture that shows how the muzzle break blends in perfectly with the barrel. That's machine work!

It's easier to be a keyboard giant than to gather all of the facts first. To be informed is good.
