From what I encountered on the internet, the rifle alone is roughly 8lbs. Then add for scope and bipod.

In my late 20's, one hunt in Utah for a doe tag, ak47 chambered in 223 with open sights, successful. In my 30's, two hunts on San Carlos for peccary, second was successful, SKS with scope. In my forties and 50's, three hunts for wild hogs in Texas, very sporterized 1903 in 30-06. First two extremely successful, 5 hogs and then 7 hogs. The last one, wrong time of year, still successful with one hog for each of us, my daughter and I. I've spent the last two years starting to learn AZ and where to hunt, what to hunt. Got ducks three years ago. I'm almost ready to make my mistakes with bigger game.
