Are you guys going to split the potential $850 profit with the Seller?

I finally broke down and ordered my first suppressors. I ordered two of the SiCo Harverster Evo's from Freedom Weapon's on 4/18. They shipped on 5/10 and landed at my FFL on 5/14. I submitted my Form 4's along with the King's Ransom for both cans on Wednesday 5/15 and received an email this morning @ 4:19 approving 1 of the 2 cans. I just got back from picking it up and have been twisting it onto a few different rifles for grins. I only have 1 20" barreled rifle and more than a few 26" barrels that are threaded. I just threw the can on a 26" heavy barreled 22 creedmoor and it is LONG! I don't think that I'll chop any of the long barrels, but I did order up a 19" 22 creed tube (heavy sporter) to throw on a spare Tikka. It's a couple of months out, but should be alot of fun. It probably won't be my last short tube... I'll try and get out later today to see if all of this Suppressor hype is worth it! $400 per can seemed like a great deal but adding in the stamp and local transfer fee put me out @ $700/each. It definitely hurt paying an extra $600 for bureaucratic nonsense. There is definitely a weight and length penalty but after ringing my and a good buddy's ears on a hog shoot in TX last month I was told that I'm not allowed to bring my rifles until I muffle my muzzles. Pretty strong motivation right there.... Here is hoping the juice is worth the squeeze! Schmitty

The one I sold is brand new. However, I have it's twin that I like to use for pruning and small jobs around the yard. It has no problem bucking up 10" diameter or smaller logs and is super convenient with plenty of torque, no exhaust and is much quieter. It will never replace my 24" Stihl as they get used for different purposes, but I definitely think that they have their place. Especially if you are already running a few other large M18 tools/batteries.

Pointing dog hunting range
Schmitty replied to Tres's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
It depends. The ideal dog will run big (I don't much like them out beyond 1/2 mile) as long as they will hold and not push the covey. After the birds are broken up the dog really needs to SLOW down and work tighter when working singles. However, I've only had 1 dog out of 5 that truly figured it out and would slow down after the initial rise and really excelled at finding singles. I guess that's why you run them in braces so that each dog can compliment the other! -
What does Healy's charge to do the transfer? Do they handle putting together a trust or only individual forms. Fingerprints and passport photos done on site?

Do you have a plan for keeping them cool thru the summer? AZ heat and rabbits don't mix very well. We used to use large blue ice blocks which needed to be swapped out midday so 2 per rabbit per day even in full shade. Otherwise, they are pretty easily kept. I personally like hybrid does that are 1/2 Flemish Giant with a NZ or CA buck as it gives a bit more length to the loin and hind legs which is where all the meat on the carcass is. Good luck! It certainly is doable and will be good for your kids. It's been 30 years since I sold my last rabbit so I can't offer much help on where to look. I'd get your kids involved with the local 4H club and there should be plenty of resources to get you started.

Yuma County Fair will be 1st week of April. You can support 4H youth and buy some overpriced rabbits @ the auction or purchase them cheap at the resale barn afterwards. Buy yourself a couple of CA or NZ does and a buck and you'll be gtg. Or grab a .22 and take a walk in the desert which is both cheaper and a whole lot more fun!
