    Out shooting and hunting hopefully.

Thought he was in germany fashioning a scope of his own specifics from raw materials tbh.

I gotta say that I sorta agree with MogollonMan on this.  Internet chat groups can be a great place to banter and share experiences and info, but I personally would never make a borderline decision or go with the interpretations of anonymous dudes on the internet.    I would always go directly to the source/AZGFD.  (I know, I know....  Folks call there and get varying stories too.  lol)

2024-Pronghorn-and-Elk-Hunt-Draw-Information_240105.pdf (amazonaws.com)    Reference to age restrictions and info can be found on page 6 and 8.   Seems pretty straight forward:  Need to be 10 years old to hunt big game (page 6) and 10 years old by application deadline to apply for a bonus point (page 7).   I would recommend someone contact G&F to get any clarity. ;)

Regarding never being on Facebook, it's basically the same thing here but under a separate wrapper.  Internet chatting & banter....  It's all "social media". lol

Good luck to ALL kids in the upcoming draw!

Mogollon man said this place gotten as bad as Facebook. That’s on me. I haven’t been running people off enough. Now we’ve been infiltrated

  3. Yeah splitting hairs. Can come up with a bunch of scenarios but i haven’t read anything that makes it sound anymore convenient. I just personally don’t think it has anything to do with convenience. It’s like Stanley said, it’s technology they want to use. And like I said, probably saves money

  4. Plenty of older non technology dudes will not be taking part in e tagging their animal I can promise you that. Idk what the repercussions of that will be but I really can’t see many older dudes busting out their phone and logging in to tag their animal

Thats part of it but NR are still capped. Point systems are similar to how our govt runs the economy. Every time they print more money, the dollar loses value.

every draw cycle, the G&F “prints” thousands more bonus points, making the ones currently issued worth less

Idk about all the out of staters. But there’s enough in staters that want to be like those guys to screw everything up.

If he is a nonresident and put in with a resident. He would still be in the nonresident pool. Should've been more specific.

If I as a resident had 0 points and I applied with a non resident with 16 points, that wouldn’t help me?

Losing tags, losing lighters, having to wrap tape to 'tag' the animal with E-Tag anyway, etc......    I suspect it is likely that NONE of these nuances came into much consideration in the decision to roll this out.  My guess is that it was simply in the spirit of 'modernization' in line with the evolution of the entire world going to "E".

Can't stop progress (or perceived progress), guys! ;)

    money.

This year I wrapped a strip of tape around a lighter which I always have in my pack anyway and threw in a sharpie. Pretty lightweight and straightforward.

Couple guys argument is that you can lose tags. A guy can lose a lighter pretty easy too.
