Well it has been a rough week, I weighed in at 201.2 lbs. Not much of a weight loss, still went .4 lbs pounds down from last week. One thing that changed this week is that I was not able to get out and workout at all. I'm getting excited about the up coming bear hunt this month even though I have not got any bears on cam yet.

Just seeing if there are any traditional hunters out there, looking for some advice on arrows. I just ordered a longbow from Bamabows and need to figure out what others are using for arrows and broadheads? What types? Brands? Where to buy? Quivers? Etc???? Pretty excited about getting out there and shooting here in a few months when its finished. Any advice is greatly appreciated Thanks

I have the same tag and no luck. I spotted 2 small groups Thursday out in flats running in the washes but no luck on finding them again on the hunt. I'll be out again tomorrow morning to see if I can find them. I haven't tried glassing because mostly where I'm looking is water holes and washes down in the flats, less people to deal with.

Hey Qhunter thanks for response, I've been working quite a bit. I ended up ordering a Hunter 28" at 55lbs. I talked to Nathaniel i believe his name was, I just kind of explained what I wanted and he helped be choose a bow. I have a friend John at Sportsmans Warehouse that showed me his Longbow and recommended me to Bama. I want to make sure i could get enough penetration at a elk at 30 - 40 yards and he said that he had a customer had a complete pass through on a elk last season at 40 yards with a 50 lb bow. I know its going to take me quite a while to work up to that but that would be a goal of mine to shoot a elk or bear with one. Good to know that you have a Bama bow as well, little more comforting to know they are a good maker. Thanks for the tips on the arrows, I would like to use feather fetchings as well and I'll send you a message to see what type of arrows i need to buy here in the next month or so. What Bow did you end up ordering? What type of Bama do you have now? Thanks for all your help!!! Devan
