FREE predator hunting seminar
Redman replied to Couestracker's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Tommy, thank you for posting. sounds like a great event, I hope to attend with my son we are both beginner (at best) varmint hunters. -
I was faced with a similar situation last year... I was under the belief / teaching frontal shots should be avoided, but after a long stare down, I took the shot. He was dead on his feet within 40 yards, blood everywhere, I watch him drop, the shot was devastating. Elk can whirl around and be gone in a flash once the wind swirls, all things considered, I would take a front shot anytime.

I hate to but in also, but I second the Champion. I just got this one from Costco, it will power my AC, fridge and microwave on my trailer all at once... the Honda 2000 could not. Yes its a little louder than the Honda when it until it cranks up and starts powering everything... which the Honda 2000 could not. I did not test against the Honda 3000 (nobody I know has one). When there is no load or a small load its sounds the same as the Honda http://www.costco.com/Champion-2%2c800W-Running--3%2c100W-Peak-Digital-Inverter-Gas-Generator-(CARB-50-State-compliant).product.100139466.html I wanted a Honda 2000, but could not see paying mores for something that could not power everything, a used 3000 would still be almost double the price... plus buying from Costco it has a lifetime warranty

Suggestion.... wondering if anybody has tried? If using a tent, get a (quite) generator and a electric heat dish. A generator will run 8 hours on a tank of gas -$4.00 and use the heat dish... If your hunting party is like mine... there is always one that snores like a chainsaw. the generator can provide a noise maker to help... I normally have to take ear plugs I've used wood stove, can be hard to manage the heat, hot and then cold....

Redman he is in terminal 3 is the only problem so he would have to get off the sky train and head outside. I am like you and at the airport on a regular basis and use the east parking which they have done a great job with but they have made terminal 3 kind of a pain to get to. NOW the tram goes to 4 and 3.... just not two...(you have to walk to 2 from 3). I just took the tram last week from the east economy to 3 for an Hawaii Airlines flight...
-
Use this East Economy parking lot, $9 a day. Take the tram to your terminal... Simple as pie I do it every week and sometime twice....your total walk will be about 1/2 mile - 1 mile. Phx airport is a breeze but give yourself enough time so you don't stress. If you checking bags get there with 1.5 hrs before flight....you will have time to spare.

Tick.... tock... come on bull tag!

Tundra owners, please if you owned a Chevy, Dodge or Ford prior.... what are your thoughts? Yea or Nay... would you purchase a Tundra again? I am thinking about a 5.7 4x4....
-
Biased it maybe but it is a public forum with plenty of Chevy, Ford and Dodge owners, I would figure if anybody went to a Tundra then went back to another make would chime in..... the complete opposite has been the responses. There is a reason why I don't want to purchase another Chevy or Dodge... (and its not because they make bad trucks...I am mad on the government hand out they took)
-
I note your add.... beautiful truck.... but I will never own a red or dark truck again.... shows all the pinstripes.
-
Thanks everybody, I have been debating a new or newer used truck for some time. I ruled out a diesel since I don't need one. I have had a Chevy 1500 for 13 years and will keep it.... its too far gone to worry about.... so I beat the heck out of it.

you were not drawn for antelope..... you were not drawn for elk.... thank you for calling the Arizona Game and Fish department

The “Famous” Western Hunter Sleeping System
Redman replied to AmericanThunder's topic in Other Hunting Gear
2+ on the elk hunter. I slept on a cot with snow, the bag literally froze to the cot, but was toasty inside.... -
If I was under investigation for a crime that I committed while holding a position that prosecuted others for similar acts..... I would resign. If you want to move on... don't read this thread, don't comment. Simple your involvement is what YOU do. Pointing your finger AT me won't work on me. I simply stated what needed to be said, sorry for not being in line with you or others. I started with "Now I am NOT saying he is or isn't guilty" By making this statement I am CYA to a slander suite as he was found "not Guilty" Court cases are won and lost on technicalities every day all over the country. I would hope we as hunters would remain calm although deep inside we are outraged beyond belief. I understand we as a society needs to hold LE officials to a higher standard but again I will not print anything that can be used in court to pull money outa my backside. I will come right out and say it!!!! YOU ALL NEED TO WATCH WHAT YOU PRINT AS YOU ARE LIABLE FOR IT. Wagoner's case was won with the E-mails and memos from his supervisors along with the disciplinary report. That in and of it's self should warn you of what and how you write and publish your thoughts. I don't want to read and post on a thread involving one of you being sued for your thoughts. Hunt hard, stay safe, and enjoy your selves! never pointed the finger at you... simply said if you want to move on (as you said in your original post because you have more important things to do.....).... then do....... oddly you replied again....
