    SB 1422

well if it reads correctly the only non trophy species I know of are cow elk - just about everything else in a trophy book or score class of rank etc. of some kind ?
  3. Same as above - in younger yrs . several weeks before season hike in camp/supplies - the little stove - a couple ponchos for tent - water - lantern the biggest mistake is food - like stated above - Bears got into the wrapped up / stuffed up in a tree and poked big tooth holes in all the cans of stew etc. water jugs - - we managed to spend one night but haven't tried it since - anymore with all the new light weight stuff for backpacking - that's the only way to go -

    BIGGEST pig you've seen? (Pics)

biggest ever that i've taken weighed 52 lbs field dressed hanging on the ranchers cattle scale- it was the smallest of 3 boars in the area . one pregnant female made them all look small - she looked like a large over stuffed potbelly pig- with belly draggin the ground

    Beware of Sonoran Outfitters!

tell them you are interested and need all their current information along with creditable / successful hunter evaluations - happy hunters along with all their contact information - make them jump thru hoops to get you to sign and send money - see where it leads knowing you'll not go

    Bowhunting javelina near Tucson

you'll have to put in for the spring draw for javelina most units will have piggys - look thru the game and fishing Site - under hunting and where to hunt - gives basic information on where to find the different speices for each hunt unit if you are lucky and draw a tag - usually not too hard - then you can also add the over the counter deer tag and expand your hunting possiblilities. no guaranties on either speices and if you have good optics and the time to get out and hunt - then a guide isn't really necessary . if time is limited then you might change your plans - on an added note a week is not enough time to come here and enjoy our spring climates I've started making trips to Wisc for the general deer hunt - I take 20 days and it goes way to fast - the coldest day on the hunt was 18 below with the wind chill - was a great time even though I didn't fill my tag comin earlier this yr for the bow season

Is this normal??? Piglets this time of year

javelina breed year round - little piglets "REDS" are very common during the spring hunts - one can only hope another female has reds - or I doubt they will survive long kinda a bummer but that is a legal animal to shoot

    Sportsmans Expo?

I just got back - considering with all the boats and fishing stuff - I give it a 7 out of 10 I'm being generous! not as many crap booths - lots of outfitters if you wanted to book a hunt - safari - or lots of outfitters for fishing Alaska most the seminars were fishing related - I'd say go if you haven't anything better to do -- go - - but remember sat- sun will be crowded! the taxidermy part - was ok but nothing special did nt even know who did what just mounts some good - some excellent a lot mediocre.

    Why are his antlers white?

to be honest to me I think its the very bright sun shining directly on the antlers - look how bright white the rump patch is - on the last on you can see the darker/normal antler and the bright spots where the sun is hitting it directly - even his dark haired body looks very light in color camera lenses can catch things the human eye cannot - especially how bright and shiney items appear

    Sportsmans Expo?

Not as good as in past years - to many of the vendors are crap booths - trying to sell insoles or back therapy stuff - sun glasses jewelry -glasses cleaning stuff- the little hokey junk stuff and not just one or 2 but lots of them all over the place - jerky guys the candy guys spice guys even cleaning supplies etc. not nearly as many guide businesses selling hunt/ fishing trips as years past occasionally you can find some cool stuff making it a boat show too - I try to go but if I don't make it I ain't loosing any sleep over it the seminars - the archery contest the stuff actually related to hunting is always cool lots of the local and state organizations/ clubs - gold mining varmint hunter -clubs for deer - elk - etc g&f auctions off a lot of confiscated - stuff antler - game heads

    Deadline EXTENDED

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Game and Fish Department is extending the draw application deadline for elk and pronghorn antelope hunts until 7 p.m. (MST) Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, due to an unusual failure of four servers one hour before the Feb. 10 deadline. The Department had undertaken extensive measures to meet high demand on the online system, more than doubling its capacity. The system was running smoothly until 6 p.m. on Feb. 10 when all four servers failed simultaneously -- an almost unheard of event. The Department is opening a forensic investigation of the event. Because the server failures prevented some customers from accessing the system or completing their application, the Department has extended the deadline. . You can apply using the online service at https://az.gov/azgfd/draw/home.xhtml, or you can hand deliver a paper application to any of the seven Game and Fish office locations in Pinetop, Flagstaff, Kingman, Yuma, Tucson, Mesa or Phoenix. Keep in mind that while Game and Fish office locations will be accepting draw applications until 7 p.m. on Feb. 11, front counter customer service for regular business transactions, including the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, will close at the regular time, 5 p.m. Customer service representatives will be available by phone during regular business hours. Between 5-7 p.m. on Feb. 11, they will be available at this number: (623) 236-7424. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers. sorry didn't see bonecollector post but love the highlighted parts - lol

I know there will never a way to find out but I wonder what % of the lateholes actually get drawn? A deadline doesn't mean a dang thing to G&F- it crashed for an hour fix it open it up for an hr - problem solved even if they allow an extra day remember last yr - at the last minutes they had problems and extended it agin SO STUPID ! but I expect it agin tonight be honestly surprised if it closes

So - I went to game and fish to do paper - bought money order - Asked if she could check to see what license I had on record wih t the computer - she stated my license had expired so they showed no record of my buying a license on dec 31 2014 at wally world - I asked how this effects the draw - she stated well it should be updated before the draw ---- ok !!?? I showed her my new 2015 license and asked for her to update the information - I was told sorry she's not able to do that since I was doing paper I would be entering my new number on apps - so it would update at that time of draw - which is normal so I asked to purchase a lion tag - it requested my new license #- lol so now it is the system - what a mess - so now I could actually do online but I already had purchased money orders - so I proceeded to do so . Seems every time they try to improve a system there really are no guaranties it will work correctly and they basically just wing it to see what happens

    javelina meat

a friend usually gives his piggy away - last yr convinced him to take the clean deboned meat to Denmark Meats -had it all made into summer sausage - it disappeared rather quicky -- and no one would believe it was javelina

well just for the information - I bought my 2014 license in sept 2013 from g&f office - the dates on my license and on yours should read valid jan 1 -14 thru dec 31 - 14 so the # listed on the current online application form for elk and antelope is my 2014 # which is not valid - a friend just got his champ license - the lady at the desk at G&F told him straight to his face - you know you can not shoot from a vehicle with this license. so figure that one out - we all know that s what its for - lol the employees can't even get stuff right we'll see how the system works in a couple days when the deadline is Tuesday - right!!
  22. we had a game fest a few yrs back - all exotic kinds of meats - the bear stew was the first to dissapear I've commented before- as long as they are not eating rotting / spoiled / garbage they taste great the majority of baiters across the land use sweets and fresh kill- Guess why - tastes better

It was about the little glitch - when they have your old license # online in the box on the application and you can't change it I asked since they have known about it since day one of online applications - one would think it'd been a priority to fix but I'm told that they are relying on the system to work properly and make the change automatically on draw day I'm like did she just say that - rely on the system to work properly - oh yeah I got faith in that one! so i'll be hand delivering paper apps on Monday
