Hunter's MX coues deer and a couple Sonoran Muleys
pwrguy replied to ceg's topic in Mogollon Taxidermy
Great bucks Clay, congrats to Hunter and Jeff. -
Some really great bucks!! Looks like you guy's had a great time. Congrats.

Lefty's are kind of hard to come by cheap. I just broke down and bought a brand new one, that is why I will need to sell the right handed one. I figured I would shoot it for a year or 2 and maybe customize it later if I like it. I have a nice custom long range gun, and want this one for an easy-to-carry, backpacking, varmit killing gun.

AZ Ground Pounders 383 Late Bull

What a fantastic bull!! Great job guy's. -
I have one in .308 that I will be putting up for sale here shortly, I just haven't gotten around to taking the scope and base off it. Unfortunately it is a servicealble rifle with a 26 inch stainless fluted bull barrell, and stainless action, and I am going to ask around $700.00 for it. It is a heavy right handed rifle and I have purchased a lighter left handed rifle to replace it with. You shouldn't have that difficult a time finding an action, if you do, just buy a bottom end rifle off the shelf and start from there?

I agree, the thing that detracts from his score is what makes him so cool

If that deer does not break a hundred with room to spare, you take a mean picture.

I was thinking the same thing. Place that mount near the front door and scare the $%$% out of anyone that comes through

Definitely pictures, asking price, description, what model of 700, it could be a 450 dollar rifle or a 3,000.00 dollar rifle depending on what has been done to it and what model.

Cool video, kinda hard to see any detail with the wide angle shot. -
It sure doesn't seem like there is a consensus on this subject. Who cares what it "looks" like, what is the law? I like the idea of an extra gun along, but certainly wouldn't do it if I was going to get cited for it.

Nice job little sister.

Kenetrek Boots Whats youre opinion...

I have been thinking along the same lines. They are pricey, but like most things, the good stuff is usually the most spendy. -
I have often wondered about this as well. Even with a signed transport tag you can have parts of the animal scatttered over a mile while packing out the pieces. Probably best to have the shooter close by until you are leaving the area with the animal all in one place and the transport tag signed and better still have the hunter with the meat until it is home or at the processor.

we saw absolutely tons of elk, but couldn't find a decent bull. i'm confident they are in there, just avoiding me. the tracks indicate there are several good bulls roaming the hills, we just couldn't lay eyes on them. i went ahead and tagged out this a.m. on a spiker. i'm wondering if i should have been more patient. oh well, it was fun, and i'm thankful for the bull i did get. Spikes eat just fine. It is and has alway's been tough to find a good bull in 22 South. They exist but are few and far between and to make it through to the late hunt without being shot or broken off takes a lot of luck.
