Been a challenge for the last week. Cancellations, bridge out, campgrounds flooded, evaculations etc. Tough on tourists from out of stat and out of country who had reservations.

Where are you located?

Yeah it was at a rental unit and happened after dark while he was in it with his wife. He got some scratches and they scared it off a ways where it stayed and watched them.

No.

The bigger bulls are dropping on the WMAR. I was in Pine over the weekend and saw a 4x4 and a couple of spikes still packing.

I know they are catching bass now from the few pictures I have seen posted. Not sure about crappie yet. I know that someone posted a couple of days ago that they were seeing them on their fish finder but they weren't interested in biting.

Probably right Brian. It was at 83% on March 1st. It hasn't been close to being this full since 2020.

I have have one on a Manfretto and it has held up well for the last three years. Neil at Cameraland recommended it. -
Smittys was my goto store. The one on Stapley and McKellips had a Garden Center and the wife, me and daughter could have breakfast with change back from $10. I miss those pre Walmart Days.

Well, I have been shooting HSM with the 168 Berger HPBT Hunting VLD. Very accurate in my older 700, right at .5 MOA. With that said it was explosive on a Coues at 200 yards and there was too much pelt damage for me. I was with member Goldfinger a couple of years ago and he used them on an elk and there was more damage than expected as the bullets came apart after a few inches of penetration resulting in more than a couple of shots to anchor the bull. IIRC shots were a bit over than 500 yards. Based on that performance, this year I switched to Barnes VOR-TX 160gr Factory ammo and enjoyed the same accuracy. I did shoot a 5X5 Bull last year at 400 yards and the bullet went through both shoulders lodging under the hide on the far side. The bull went less than 5 yards. Another bullet to give a hard look at is the Sierra 165 TGK. I have heard really good things about them.

Those twin I Beams were tough but heck on tires and were usually worn out by 50K. I bought a 78 3/4 Ton GMC Sierra in about 85 and drove it for another 13 years. Rebuilt the engine, 350, 4 bolt mains about 5 years after at around 160K, bought it with 144K on the clock. Great truck, 4WD and never left me stranded. I always had a company truck so it never got more than a few thousand miles every year. I put in a new clutch and a 4" lift kit but it was a rough ride.

Sonny what ever floats your boat and makes you feel good. Nothing negative was intended, NL's are great, I have a pair. Don't quite measure up to 15's, which I also have. Downside of the internet is youngsters take immediate offence to something they would get a good laugh out of in a face to face conversation. I can't change that. Next time you're in the east valley let me know. I'll buy you dinner. I'm a dyed in the wool opinionated NYC republican. Work every day and don't know anyone who is "Woke", whatever that means. My generation lost a lot of of us in Nam, but we have learned to "cope" with it. Tired of the binary pussification of the world. But I get it. Offer stands.
