If you post that on a Michigan or Wisconsin Forum it will sell in 6 months. LOL GLWS

I have a love/hate relationship with the Havalon. A good knife with some actual heft to it is worth it's weight in gold and much easier to control and less likely to get away from you. Plus it will have more cutting surface. I also have an Outdoor edge and while it's not as sharp as the Havalon it feels more like an actual knife. I feel like the Havalon is more suited to taxidermy work.

Strange blade design. What was your basis for it?
-
With Buck you can send in the knife and have them sharpen it for a few dollars which might come in handy with the S30V.

Harley, S30V on the 110 is really nice. I had one done through the Buck Custom Shop a few years ago for my son on his 30th birthday with a satin finish blade, stag handles and had them engrave it but you won't get it out of the Custom Shop in time for Christmas. You could get him a nice Case or Hen&Rooster for Christmas a custom knife later in time for his hunt. I also recently did a Custom 113 Skinner in S30V with Water Buffalo Handles for my Elk Guide with the Year and his Name Engraved on it. https://www.buckknives.com/custom-knife-shop/

It's OK to be Gay. In this day and age I doubt anyone doesn't know someone or has a relative who is but that's not what it about. https://biggamehero.com/browse/2022/finals

No better caliber for shooting Yotes.

I have seen a few posts from participants hawking (Begging) for people to vote for them. Seems pretty lame.

It happens to the best of us but the solitude of being out there breathing fresh air in nature destressing has it's own rewards. Thanks for reporting back in.

That would make a good reloading bench.

You might be pressed to find a long action with a youth stock. You can also buy this one and cut it down to fit. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1148230

And shoot what bullets?

Way better looking than those designer Labradoodles that some people are selling.

I've probably shot more Coyotes than most people have ever seen. https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/hunters-specialties-hs-scents-primetime-cover-scent-wafers?ds_e=GOOGLE&ds_c=Cabelas|Shopping|Smart|Hunting|Hunting|NAud|TopPerf|NMT&gclid=Cj0KCQiA7bucBhCeARIsAIOwr--XN7pxU_FKJwSr2jgoDyB75MoJoxZPR9a0iZoZeWW1-wGcuiwFot8aAqt5EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I have the same rifle I use on my Javelina hunts, nice and light. Plenty accurate too. All I did was replace the trigger with a Rifle Basix for a lighter pull.
-
I've been looking to getting into one of those but for hunting at around about 6 pounds or so. That looks to be about 50% more than that. Good Luck with the sale.

No Worries. I was afield for close to a week and splitting a case would be just dandy.

We hiked in close to two miles the first day and while on our way back ran into another hunter and his friend who had hiked in almost the same distance from our north. With such great optics it's a piece of cake to glass up game from a long ways off then hike in to them. In some places there is a road darn near every two miles. We watched a heard of about 70 Elk travel a mile for 20 minutes until they bed. We circled in to them about 1000 yards and snuck in from juniper to juniper and were waiting and glassing for close to an hour when another hunter popped up to our left about 30 yards away. I motioned him to come over and found that he had seen the elk bedded from the road and parked, next to us, and hiked in with a buddy who came in directly into them with the wind to his back and blew them out.

Shot at 400 yards with Rem 700 in 7Mag I bought new in the early 90's. Barnes Factory ammo 160gr and Swarovski 3x18 with custom factory turret for 168 Nosler LRAB. Broke both shoulders. Guided by Grant Hottman and his assistant guide Tyler Sanchez. I'm old enough to be their grandfather but somehow managed to keep up with them. This bull was taken on day six after a 600 yard stalk.

16 already? WOW. Brian I don't have any but I hope her birthday is a special day for all.
-
Tim I'll take the 38 Super next time you're out this away.

Well having done both a few times there is nothing wrong with an early hunt. You can end up with tag soup either way. Early hunts are hot, late hunts have slim pickens. I tagged out on a bull on Wednesday after six days of leaving at 4-5AM each day and getting back at about 7:30. Some mornings were 18dgF and we hiked five miles on some days.

I wouldn't bother. It's too slow even for 168's. I would stick to something like 4064 to RL15. The slowest I have used was 760 with 168's.
