Day 3 Wind SUUUUUUUUUCKS. That's all I have to say about this day.
-
Day 2. Now that we KNOW where to find all the sheep we head back to the hidden canyon. All we need to do is pop over this one small rise and bingo. Easy. HAHAHAHAAHHAAAHAA After 47 "small" rises and miles and miles of walking we saw exactly ZERO sheep, Finally we spot a nice ram and 4 ewes out on a little rock island...1400 yds and 2 canyons away. No chance at all. We start heading that way and they are GONE. We are noticing a pattern. They see us witihn 1000 yds and RUUUUUN.

and now....the REST of the story.... DAAAAAY 1... Beautiful day. Off and on rain with nominal wind right off the bat we find 4 sheep(3 ewes and a small ram) at 650yds. T asks if I want them and I say "heck ya I'll shoot a small ram". I wander back to the sxs to get my rifle and take a leak so I can set up for the shot and "They're gone!" says T. They saw us at 650 at RAN. Lesson 1 learned. These are NOT coues deer. If anywhere within 800 yds they can see you, they run. FOREVER. You WILL NOT FIND THEM if you chase(had to learn this MANY times). Noon- another group of 7 ewes this time down in the canyon moving. They don't see us. Ran like mad to get in front of them. 250yds and heading over the last ridge. Can't find them in the scope and T does not want to shoot a ewe. They see and run. They're gone. Evening. Driving back to a nice little canyon that nobody else has been in. We jump a HUGE( HUUUUUGE) ram. T jumps out and sets up. I range at 280 yds. T is prone and ready . SHOT.......... miss. He friggin MISSED. Ram moves 15 more yds and stands there. T is all discombobulated and can't get back on him. My rifle is still in the sxs(lesson #2 learned). He runs. FOREVER We chase and bump TWO more rams and 2 ewes. Over the ridge and they are GONE. Very "educational" day

Its Japanese. The writing says "made in Japan".

I think this is like an obamacare type law. Designed to fail so that socialized medicine can be implemented. This disaster is intentionally vague and made to cause problems so that the "fine, we will just ban them all" position will be the "common sense" solution. Dont forget what kind of people have been infiltrating Az govt lately.

Meh. Talk to me when you get the 45/70 Creedmoor. -
Tell us about your elk rifle, and cartridge?

I only have 1 "elk" rifle as I am not really a rifle guy. It's a kimber mountain ascent in 280ai topped with a lightweight swaro shooting 168VLD and 168 accubonds. I also took a NM elk with my dad's 35 whelen lobbing bullet shaped footballs. -

So post up your new stuff Lance so the rest of us can know where the bar is now set. -
You do the paperwork and pay for the suppressor at that time. They then put it in "suppressor jail" and hold it until your stamp comes. All the paperwork is tied to the serial number on the suppressor you purchase so it has o be in stock for you to buy it.
-
I have been shooting suppressed for quite awhile now and know many guys that do as well. About the only constant I haveseen is that everyone has a different opinion on what is "best". Most of what I have seen is the "best" is what that person is running...lol. Sometimes the inexpensive ones are just as good as the expensive ones depending on what they are going on. Most of them are good now. I would recommend going down to Mr Silencer in Mesa and talk to them or Healys, or to another shop that specializes in suppressors. SO many options these days. If you can shoot a few of them even better. Personally I like the titanium and the weight savings they come with.

Can you share with us what the HOA issue is? I ask because you may not need an attorney depending on the issue.
-
Can the handheld frs/gmrs radios communicate with the rugged radio setups? I bought the razors to try out and my kids like them but not sure we will be able to talk with grandma and grandpa in the other buggy.
-
For those of you that have added car to car radios, what do you have? Dd you have them installed or do the install yourself?
-
No worries here. Just chillin at the cabin.
