the bodies on those elk look quite heavy . i would line up some pack horses/mules before the hunt. the one they shoot at long range with the sendero is an awesome bull. enjoy!
-
Generally i just hunt them in the winter. roninflag

DOT- i did not see the caliber. you are going to like that rifle. ron
-
if they really are in az; how many are taken by the 70,000 deer hunters that hunt each year? few or none?
-
I have not purchased components for a while. Has any one seen some MRP-2 in phx or flag??
-
Not varget . just a pound or two of norma MRP-2.
-
i have heard reports of coyote sightings at 44st and baseline. is that close?
-
Coues- if you want an exit use a barnes (or an all copper bullet), the tipped bonded bear claw is another one you may want to try,for elk huning. i prefer a partition or what you used. i have used a 165 btsp too with good results. for coyotes i use a 50 grain ballistic tip out of .222, 223 and 22-250. they worl well for me.

Hard- i use nickel in mostly in calibers i can't get lapua; like the .280 remington. i have had excellent results and i pay more for it. i shoot it in my garands. it is easier to find and it distinguishes my brass from others at a match. i tumble it before and after sizing . i camfer the inside and outside of the case necks well . loaded with a ballistic silvertip the ammo is quite attractive too.

I would use either the partitions or the triple shock and keep it to less than 100 yards.

avg fox price? coyote? bobcat? beaver? badger? thanks. ron
-
Shrman- i can not tell what you are going to use them for. i can tell that out of both several sako and remington rifles the 87 grain bergers work great.
-
i tried the 95 berger they did not work. they are shorter than the 105 berger. the 105 amax some say they work some no. i would try the 87 and 88 berger or 87 horn . i won a 1000 yard match with the 88 grain berger and the 87 hornady.

shot 37.0 I 4064 and 85 sierra out my sako saturday . .5" ( lapua brass and 210m primers) EVERY sako and remington 700 i have loaded for liked it.
-

The rifle shoots great. $329 for the vortex?! If you dont mind me asking, where did you purchase them? That is a heck of a deal. cameraland specials. is your 700 a sporter or a remington long range? the vortex is a 30 mm tube quite big for a sporter. i like the 6-24 bushnell elite better for a sporter. shopping yesterday both scopes new were around 450.,....edited
-
i do not like an objective lens over 44, for a one inch tube it raises my head too far off the stock
-
some scopes i use are the vortec 6.5-20x44 paid 329; 6-24x40 bushnell elite 325. i have a couple 6.5-20x40 leup i paid 500 and 525 for. shop. how does the rifle shoot??
