It is AZ but not Prescott area. The quality and numbers in the unit I drew seem to be pretty down in the last few years so I'm gonna see what we can turn up scouting before I decide what I will hold out for. There are generally a lot of cattle in the area and that's why I am considering a cow decoy. I dont even know if I would use the decoy but I'd hate to get up there on the hunt and feel like I need one but not have one.

Do you have to be a member and sign up ahead of time or can you just show up and shoot?

I thought FOIA only applied to federal agencies. Is there something similar for our states agencies?

I drew tag number 1 for the archery antelope hunt in 4a with 17 bp's. So was 17 pts enough to draw in the bonus pass this year or was there no bonus pass because there were only 4 tags available?

When I applied I figured it was a possibility that it could drop to 17 because the numbers and quality are down in 4a. When I applied I thought there was still 5 tags

They are proposing to reduce tags in most of the rifle mule deer hunts

I was thinking last year was remarkably shorter than in the past thats why I was asking. If they've already got all the portals corrected maybe it won't take real long.

Thats not true that they have no authority, they do have the authority to regulate them only if they are used in the take of game. The problem would be proving/disproving if they aided in the take

You went on a rant about people poaching. I was pointing out your misunderstanding from the other post. Honestly, I seriously doubt there are enough people doing it to have that much impact on draw odds. I would bet it has more to do with the surge in new hunters and people moving into az. I personally know about a dozen people that have started hunting in the last decade. But just like you I dont have the numbers to prove my theory.

When you hear people talk about putting in non hunting relatives other than parents/grandparents they are using them for their bonus points on party applications.

If they can extend the draw deadline why can't they extend the deadline to update credit cards?

I've personally seen 3 elk that were shot with rage broadheads that bled very little, 2 of them were recovered. I wouldn't say that they're the golden ticket for good blood trails.
