Looks like a cut and paste for a size comparison! Kinda cool!

Planning to use Steve for my dream build one day!

I am on the fence but it doesn't seem like 15-40 tags will affect the archery hunt that much other than the guys that are sitting on big Bulls waiting for opening day. I would love to have an early rifle tag but I doubt I have the patience to wait that long. (Sitting on 7 points now and it gets harder every year to not burn them on an archery hunt) BUT, if the archey and early firearm hunt were to rotate each year I bet your odds would go up a bit for an early rifle tag on the years it goes after the archery hunt.

Had something similar happen to me last summer but in phoenix and I don't think this is a rare bird. Stupid thing sat on my window for over 10 minutes in my buddy's drive way. I would hold up a blue rubber band and it would take it out of my hand and then let me take it back.

New to a quad. Have you been pulled over on dirt roads not street legal?

My neighbors were ticketed on the lake Mary road in their side by sides because they did not have DOT approved tires. I've never paid attention to it but I have heard of guys being ticketed for it when they get on the highways. Not trying to get in the middle of a pissing match, just passing along what I've heard. I don't Have any first hand experience with it. -

Anyone have any live pictures of good bucks through a spotting scope? -
True but Ive waited too long to shoot a dink because of inexperience. After 17 years I hope to put the best goat on the wall I can find and I still have lots of time.

My favorite road was also closed as well as improved to fight fires. I don't know what kind of hiking you guys do but it would be a 10 mile hike one way every day if I was to follow the road closure and walk down a perfectly good road. Not sure how much hunting I would get in if I had a 20 mile round trip walk every day before and after a day of hunting. I imagine I would burn out pretty quick and it would be pretty heart breaking watching everyone else drive by me.

How tall is it? My buddy might be looking for one to use as a fish feeder for his pond.

I'm curious to hear the different answers that come from this. I don't usually use crappie lights but I have several old styrofoam lights.

Very tempting! I've wanted a 22 mag for a long time.

Awesome! I have no stickers on my truck just because I don't want the same stickers everyone else has.

I would say a 350 bull is a real challenge. It has been my challenge since 2009 and I still haven't sealed the deal. 2009 I drew my first archery bull tag and had killed 2 bulls prior to that with a 300 being my best. I went into the hunt saying 350 only or I eat the tag. I was in the unit 5 days before the hunt started and spent the entire 14 days hunting with no days off hunting from daylight to dark and most days I Hunted solo. I was in elk every single day and passed on over 20 bulls within 40 yards some being respectable 6x6 Bulls. The entire hunt I seen one bull I would dare to call a 350 bull at about 300 yards hauling the Mail through a meadow as I sat a water hole on the edge. I did end up taking a shot at a 320ish bull late in the hunt at 10 yards and actually missed. (Worst case of fever ever) I've had 2 bull tags since and still no 350. My 2011 rifle tag I seen a bull step out of the treeline at last light. He looked like a great bull so I got set up and took the shot. Went we walked up to him it was a different bull. We hadn't realized more than one bull stepped out and I ended up with a 250 bull. Took my grandpa back to the same spot 3 days later and he took the bigger bull that would go 350 if he wasn't broken up.

I've had a turkey and a bull done with R&R. Turn arounds were fine And I liked the mounts especially the Turkey. Probably won't use him anymore though just because I live on the west side and found someone closer to me.

This is my all time favorite thread since August 23, 2010! -
You can go to kingman or California and hunt hogs or sheep on a ranch. I think those ranches are mostly year round and a hog will cost you in the ball park of $500 last I checked.

I've been needing to send my pack in for several buckle repairs and haven't got around to it. Glad to hear it's so quick!

I thought there was 1000 jr doe tags in one hunt when I hunted it in 99 but I could be wrong.

My 2015 Unit 10 Speed Goat * Updated w/ Pics and Story
GJMauro12 replied to 6ANut's topic in Antelope Hunting
I've only been on two goat hunts and they both ended on day 1 so I don't have much experience. I think the hardest part is learning what a good goat looks like if you aren't already familiar with judging them. First hunt was grandpas and I spent all summer looking at goats and on day one I set him up on what I thought was a good goat that ended up being a complete dink when we ground checked him. Grandpa doesn't care about score and it was one of the best stalks I've been on so it was successful hunt dink or not. Second hunt was my brothers and we spent all summer videoing and taking pictures of every goat we could find and He ended up taking an 80ish" goat opening morning. My advice would be to look at as many goats as possible and not only from a long distance behind a spotter. Get up close and get pictures. If you have someone familiar with judging it might help to take them along at least on a few scouting trips. I know I took lots of pictures of what I thought were monsters only to hear my buddies break the news they weren't worth a tag when they seen the pictures. Going on my 3rd goat hunt this year but the tag is in my pocket this time and I'll be right across the street from you if you pull the 5B tag.
