Looking for a batting/hitting cage for my boys
Coach replied to SpotNStalk's topic in Classified Ads
I don't have a cage but I have a pitching machine if you are interested. -
Best wishes, Tony.

Beautiful buck - what a beast! Congrats and thanks for sharing the story and pictures!

Hey Houston - so sorry to hear about your stuff getting stolen. Thieves are the worst. Great job on your hunt though - and thanks for posting all those pictures. Sure looks like one heck of an area.

Man that's nice!

I can't speak from personal experience, but I know a few people who guide - 1 full-time, and they have expressed feeling very blessed to be able to make a living doing what they love. I've asked if it starts to feel like a job, and the response is typically "Yes, but a really fun job".

I remember when those first pix of him were posted. An area I know well - what a stud buck.

I know I'll probably get some backlash for this, but I think the mask thing has become more of a symbolic gesture of compliance mixed with projecting an image of awareness/compassion/safety. It's the hip thing to do. The studies out of the CDC are all over the place when it comes to airborne transmission - and specifically, the effectiveness of masks. Add to that, an approved mask can be a bandanna, a piece of cotton cloth your neighbor, or mom, or whoever made with her sowing machine. The ones that are comfortable, will let through any airborne viruses. The ones that may be effective are really hard to breathe through. That's why you see the people in stores that mandate them pulling them down under their nose - so they can breathe. Tell me that's effective.

Disclaimer - that link is from NPR, slanted against AR15s - it's just the first link that came up when looking for a brief history. I'm a huge fan of them and before my boat turned over and I lost all my guns, I had several, as did all of my sons 😉

That's a real classic. A lot of people don't know the AR in AR15 stands for Armalite Rifle. https://www.npr.org/2018/02/28/588861820/a-brief-history-of-the-ar-15#:~:text="AR" comes from the name, limited success in selling it. I have no idea what it's value is, but I bet some folks on here can help out with that. Good luck with the sale.

We've seen it all and then some. So, what's next?

All I know is, if I do get it hit, it's going to be something good. Fingers crossed - and best wishes CWT community.

Were you able to find out any more about this? Still interested - if it shoots.

Buck Officially Scored 200 0/8" gross 197 4/8" net
Coach replied to bonecollector777's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I don't remember the exact quote, but from The Longest Yard, Caretaker (Chris Rock) explaining to Paul Crew (Adam Sandler) why he's unanimously hated in prison by both the guards AND the inmates: "You can steal a car, rob a bank, he!!, you can rob you're own grandma, but shaving points in pro football - that's just un-American". LOL. I guess that's why people aren't just letting go - this guy poached over and over and was finally caught, and we have no idea how many other things he did that he never had to answer for. For hunters, serial poachers are as low as it goes, and while justice was served - kinda - many of us don't think it was harsh enough. I don't mind if the salt gets rubbed in the wound at least a little longer. -
From what I understand, the Bush fire was started by a car fire on 87. What about these other fires? There's strict fire restrictions, and no lightning that I've seen. Just curious.
