I'm sorry. I really despise thieves. I hope you find your bow.

I found the coyote the 1st time around but Ive looked again and i don't see the deer. hmmm

water is great. I've had bulls coming in day and night but it makes your cameras a little more susceptible to theft so we try to limit water. we've been concentrating on heavily used trails and funnels mostly and been getting lots of pics of elk, deer, bears, turkey, bobcats, and coyotes. been an active couple months with cameras. totally amazed at the amount of bears this year. I put salt down over the weekend on 1 cam so we will see if it makes a difference.

I hope someone shares. I'm curious too if anyone has one. it has good reviews and I've always had good quality with my Kelty packs. Im gonna need something to carry my elk out :0)

the mule deer haven't dropped yet where I hunt. I'm thinking any day now. some of the does are pretty round.

I agree and really like this site. it is very helpful and fun to share with other hunters. I think sometimes people just get a little too worked up over stuff. it's human nature to be passionate but you do need self control. you also should remember there are actual human beings on the other side of the screen. sometimes people forget that with our newer technologies. don't say something online that you wouldn't say to someone in person.

Mathews Passion 60 lbs 25" 60 yards truglo -
how much do you practice? I'm about 3-5 times a week just depends on how busy my week. I do have a range in my backyard which makes it a lot easier. just curious what everyone else does?

great ambiance and excellent collection of mounts! good buffalo burgers too.

do u guys work with G&F to make sure their catchments stay full? one of the officers I know told me to call him if the catchments are dry and they will fill them. this is just for G&F catchments.

6a. I'm pretty much a spot and stalk type hunter. it pains me to sit still in a blind or stand. ill do it if i have to but id definitely rather not. I'm not out for a trophy but I'd like a big bull. I know we all would...lol. on my rifle hunt a few years ago I passed on some spikes/rag horns, came home empty handed and don't overly regret it. even though I'm newer to hunting myself I've been tagging along for more than a decade. I just want to increase my odds by being well rounded.

I am currently shooting a Mathews Passion 60 lb. I use gold tip XT arrows with WAC'em broad heads 80 grain. there is zero change when I switch from field point to broadhead, which I love. I definitely practice a lot now that my broken wrist has healed. we have 3 acres and just shoot in our backyard. I'm very comfortable out to 50 yards but that's my limit and, of course, the closer the better. Someone once told me to practice 10 yards farther than your Max shot because u may just need it. I wouldn't shoot anything over 50. I also took someones advice about practicing 10 yard and under shots. good thing cuz that's how far my pig was this year :0) I've never had an Archery elk hunt and I've got an early bull tag this year. I took my bow down and had the string replaced and asked them their thoughts on my setup for elk. I asked 2 experts and got 2 opinions. one said to switch to a 2 blade cut on impact (increased kinetic energy etc) and the other said to leave my setup as is. I know practice and shot placement are probably 80-90% of the game but I always like to be as prepared as I possibly can be which is why I want to make sure my equipment is the best it can be. Just curious if anyone wants to share any opinions/thoughts with me. PS- I don't ever see myself shooting mechanicals. Just not something I'm interested in.

I didnt know about the coconino til right before the closures and I hunt and camp there. I don't get G&F newsletter but my FIL does and told us. I definitely agree that some sort of better notification system is needed.
