Finally saw a good buck acting a bit rutty this morning. He was raking trees and and looking at the lady's but never gave chase. It's been rough. Don't know if the moon or me just not being able to find them. Hope my luck changes soon.

Unfortunately no. Never saw them again after I videoed the bigger one hard horned. It wasn't for the lack of trying. We ended up with these two instead.

Thanks. I can't remember for sure but it was either a Panasonic FZ80 or I was videoscoping with a Panasonic G7 and a 114mm telescope. Pretty sure it was the G7 telescope combo.

Yep I think I'm gonna start caping every buck we get from now on. Wish I started doing this years ago if I'd done so I might actually be good at by now. Like you said shoulda woulda coulda.

Sounds good. As of now the cape is spoken for but if for some reason the guy doesn't want it your next in line.

The capes frozen. Just looks like a ball of fur unless I thaw it out. If you want it it's yours at no cost. Once you take it to a taxidermist and have it checked out and it's determined to be a useable cape then if you want to give me some money for it that's cool if not no big deal. The reason I don't want any money upfront is because I've never caped a deer before and I don't know if I did everything right. I'd hate to charge someone money for a bad cape. Let me know.

I was going to let the person who wants it decide on the price. Whatever they feel the cape is worth is what the price is.

Dang! Some crazy stuff! Good to see it doesn't just happen to us. Definitely didn't hit him directly. You can actually see the bullet and where it hits. I re-watched it frame by frame and it looks like something hits the bucks neck. It could have been a rock or a piece of the bullet who knows. I'll try and post the video or pics when I get the chance.

I recently came across a guy on YouTube pirating some of my coues footage. Any of you guys ever have someone else use your hunting pics or videos with out your permission? Curious to see if this is the norm no days in the hunting world.

I'm pretty sure he got it from my YouTube channel but I don't know for sure.

Guess I'm just too laid back to get all worked up over this. Maybe if I actually thought my footage would help his business then I would think differently about it but him using a couple 5 second clips of mine in a few of his videos isn't going to help him enough or hurt me enough to worry about it. The principle of it bugs me the most but we all make mistakes lord knows I have made my fair share of some pretty dumb decisions in the past. For now all I'm going to do is let him know what I think and wait and see how he responds and go from there.

True. Sweet maybe a can get a free subscription.👍 Now that I know he's in the "game finding" biz I feel like he owes me some game finding or something. Maybe we can work out a deal where he can use my footage and in return he has to give me game finding lessons.

Seriously though I don't know the guy. He could be the nicest guy around and I definatly don't want any unwarranted negatively going his way over something like this. Yes I put a lot of time and effort in my videos but that's it. I don't make any money from them and he probably didn't gain anything for having my footage in his videos.
