    Youth Shooting Techniques

We always shot remington model 700's and my dad always had us practice with a 17 rem with the same scope as we hunted with. Back then a 6X bushnell. We practiced a lot and were never scared of the gun. Getting them use to finding objects in the scope is critical, even if they use a 22. I did the same thing with my wife and it worked well. I carry my tripod with the legs extended so she can shoot standing up with me at all times and use it as a rest. I have look at those primos sticks and can see the value and speed in setup.

Thinking of trading My Jim White Head

I love my pistol grip and panning attachment for binos (including 15's weight is not an issue), not stable enough for a high powered spotter in my opinion. The ball will get dirt over time but it can be disassembled and cleaned easily. I take mine apart and use throttle body cleaner about once a year, no more squeaky-squeaky. I use an allen wrench and large flat screwdriver tip on a 1/4" drive ratchet. Do not use grease or wd40 on the ball head of any kind!!!! I have had the Jim White head and it is nice too. The Jim White head is a better option if you are going back and forth between a spotter and a pair of binos on the same tripod than the pistol grip. I think Outdoorsmans will clean it for you if you take it by their shop. The one downside to the Jim White is the plates slide in from the front of the head to the back. I usually am glassing downhill and one time I did not have the plate tightened down enough and my binos slid right of the head. The Outdoorsmans pistol grip is the opposite. You have to slide the plate from the back to the front and the small set screw will not allow the binos to fall of when looking down if not tight. I know it was my error but if I am looking up and the binos slide off the worst that can happen is they land in my lap and I have a shot at catching them. I think you have to try lots of different setups till you find the one that fits your style best. If I could afford it I would have one of each including the outdoorsmans panhead. You never know what the next adventure will require

    Recommend me a tent

I have the cabelas west wind and it's been a good tent for the last 5-6 years. It's not as heavy duty as the Alaskan guide but here in AZ it does just fine and it's quite a bit lighter than a canvas tent. I picked mine up in bargain cave for 150.00 , it's the six man. I use it probly 10 times a year and it's held up well. You may need the 8 man if you want queen mattress to fit plus gear. The floor liner for the Alaskan guide fits it perfect too. Might check it out. Bargain cave has some killer deals on tents after holiday weekends. Cabelas outback lodge is a good option too. Kodiaks a great as well just a little heavier and bulkier then Nylon tents.

    Looking for Outboard Motor Stand

I have one but it's for a smaller outboard maybe up to 40 horse, I'm in Scottsdale.
  9. Don't know the exact dimension but this used to go on the front of our Montana wall tent. It's in good shape, not great. No floor but it is nice to cook in and keep your gear out of the weather. Free to the first person to come pick it up. I'm in Scottsdale at Tatum and Cactus. Maybe the person that wants it can donate some $$ to CW. I'm sure I could get a little $ out of it but I just want it out oft garage and into the hands of someone who will use it. http://www.montanacanvas.com/products/cook-shack Andy 602-881-0610

Vortex Kaibab 15 and Carbon tripod package $1050.00

Binos are sold, Will sell tripod and slik panhead head for $150
  18. Well I tried to sell my Vortex Razors as a package but had no luck. A nice fella came along and traded me these Kaibabs for my Razors so I thought I would give this a shot. These are in great shape, a little over a year old. They do not have the box but I do have the lense covers and case. The package comes with dolica proline carbon fiber tripod, slik 707e panhead, outdoorsmans tripod adapter. If you bought this stuff separate you would have well over $1500 into it. I would consider interesting trades for things that go boom and outdoor gear. I will not sell just the tripod unless the binos sell first. I will take $800.00 for the Binos alone. Happy Hunting.... 19. I haven't shot my recurve I a couple years but I killed this pig in 2011 with my Brackenbury. After I kill my 350 bull this year I am going to retire the compound and hunt exclusively with my recurve. My goal is to take the BiG 10 with a recurve.

12x50 Vortex Razor HD with carbon tripod - $1100.00

I don't want to sell tripod until binos are sold. Yes I still have them.
  22. These are used but in good condition. They have a very small scratch on the objective lens, it's very faint and about 1/4" long, but nothing too bad, some may not even notice it but I don't want to misrepresent the binos, never dropped, just got them back from Vortex for cleaning. The package comes with dolica carbon fiber tripod, slik 707e panhead, outdoorsmans tripod adapter and all paperwork, case and lense covers as new. These are $1299.00 new just for the binos. Best glass on the market for the money in my opinion. If you bought this stuff separate you would have well over $1500 into it. I would consider interesting trades for things that go boom and outdoor gear. Call text or email Andy 6O2-881-O61O
