Late Archery Bull... Whose been successful?

Great bulls guys. I am starting to be a little more encouraged. Did you guys all hunt the full 14 days? I wont be able to take anywhere near that long, but since thanksgiving weekend is in there I should be able to string a few together.

1 more week!I sure hope not. I dont think there have been any new hits today. Hopefully they start posting those babies up.Seems like always on the Tuesday a week and half later after charges is when they have results posted. Noone in the family drew so I hope it's a month til results kidding have a few friends that drew that I'll be helping so want to see where we will be. I am hoping that because they arent calling people for replacement cards that we will get results a little bit early Id really like to hear if I have a 4b late tag or early tag again this year

    WTB Swarovski 15x56 HD

From my recent buying experience, $1799 does not include shippping, tax, or tripod adapter for a new pair. Lowest all in price I found was $2099 + adapter.

Late Archery Bull... Whose been successful?

Yes I could pointguard, but since I had a tag last year there really isnt any reason to.

They already fixed this. You no longer lose your loyalty point and they charge cards right away. I tried to get my app rejected this year and it didnt even work.

You mean, he could have like held his bow or something? I will have a similar attitude, but will try to at least keep a bow in my hand ๐Ÿ˜€

No one really knows this year because its the first time they have not had to call people with bad cards. But I could see it being as soon as the end of the week. And now I Jinxd it.

How big is a big pronghorn

B&C all time minimum is 375 and 82 respectively. As far as when do they start looking massive, 7 of mass on the bottom two measurements is enough to make a buck look big. But like others have said, some bucks really poop out on their top mass. IMO top mass is the hardest part of a buck to judge, spend time trying to get that figured out.

Ouch, unfortunately nothing you can do. I'd suggest not using a debit card next time. Curious what hunts you may have missed out on? Yeah, "lesson learned." Doesn't really ease the pain when I totally know better and its my own fvcking fault. Yes, I'm pouting. So what. The hunt I missed was late archery 22N. A prize for no one but me. What makes it worse is I applied with a buddy so he loses too. I'm so effing pissed I can't think straight; took the day off work... CO OTC it is. Instead of being pissed you should be thanking heaven. Worst tag in the state.

Do this. Why wait 20+ years to hunt one day? Go use a bow and have a chance at the biggest bucks before anyone else. Success rates on archery goat are getting much better.

  24. Man, took the words out of my mouth. The argument that something is legal, and therefore should be beyond question, is the greatest detriment to hunting culture. I dont hate trailcams. I have them. I use them, primarily on water. But I can see why this has become an issue with AZGFD when I here of dozens of cameras on a single drinker, or see someone post a picture of hundreds of cams they put up on nearly all water sources in an area. To me, that practice is not above reproach and should be challenged and discussed. But as was stated above, trailcam use is not the heart of the issue. The fact is, hunting methods and technology continue improving while habitat and environmental conditions continue to decline. Hunter recruitment per capita also continues to decline each year. That should be enough to tell you that hunting practices are going to be challenged, legislated and restricted. Most of the people using the woods are not hunters and go there for other reasons. Our practices on shared public lands also need to be evaluated through the lense of non-hunter recreationalists who will encounter them. They may not want to see trailcams, tree stands, blinds, and salt licks littering the forest when they are enjoying their chosen recreation. Just the same we have to consider each other when hunting or preparing to hunt, we also have to consider those who are also there but not hunting, and their vote counts, literally. Should they ban trailcams on waterholes? I dont know. It certainly puts a damper on my experience. Is it the best thing for the sport, thats a different question. But one things for sure, if we keep pushing the limits on acceptable practices, eventually someone will come in and set the terms for us. Trailcams are a good example.

    Ever seen this javelina preparation?

Never seen that on a Hippolina before. But when I prepare one I typically do all I can to ensure the hide and hair come of quickly and do not come into contact with any of the meat. So to me leaving the hide on is counterintuitive. What did he do about the scent gland on the back? And does the carcass still stink like a typical javelina? Interesting. Let us know how it turns out.
