Procedure is pretty simple, read up on the symptoms of anaphylaxis and it will tell you when to use it. Hold it down on your leg and push the button. Then wait for it to work. You are supposed to carry two doses, as there is a small chance of recurrence of anaphylaxis within a short period. Lay down when you do it, that stuff put me into all out convulsions. It lasted several hours. Not fun.

SPOT is a great idea. They are half price right now. Not going to lie, that scared me today.

Kidso should be on there. He'd of brought those bears in and played slap and tickle with em.

I like Mountain Men, but some of that stuff is getting a little too staged.

High Country Archery Mule Deer Idaho?
Flatlander replied to capoeirajosh's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I don't. But over the years lots of giants have come out of ID. When my Dad was growing up in that part of the country there was a brute behind every tree. Today, it takes a little more work. -
High Country Archery Mule Deer Idaho?

Definitely some good bucks in that country. I hunted it quite a bit and had better luck in Tex Creek to the south. Don't get me wrong, there are way more deer all over ID than in AZ. after reading Hunting High Country Mule Deer I always assumed high country to mean above the tree line. If that's what you are looking for that's not really the habitat in the big holes. Tex creek to the South doesn't get hammered with dirt bikes, atv's and snow machines the way the big holes do. Even east of the road from swan valley to palisades gets a little better, and a guy could definitely backpack in there even though it's not designated wilderness. -
High Country Archery Mule Deer Idaho?
Flatlander replied to capoeirajosh's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Not to be contradictory, but the big holes are not a range I would consider 'high country' or very high quality deer hunting in general. I used to live within walking distance of those mountains and spent a lot of time hunting deer and elk there. There is almost no area above the tree line, and the entire range serves as basically a giant ohv area. There are trails everywhere and not an abundance of animals. I would look at either the panhandle/courdellaine area (unit 11), the South hills/owyhee area or the SE part of the state (units 70-76). None of those are what I would qualify as high country, or above the tree line. But historically that's not the primary habitat in ID. Their sagebrush desserts and coniferous forests produce a lot more of their quality deer than up on the peaks. Compared to AZ, it's all high country though. Lots of places to hunt deer, it just isn't Colorado. -
6:24 mile this morning, still a ways from 6:00 but trending in the right direction. Ran 8 miles Saturday, started lifting two weeks ago. So far the weight is holding steady at 187.0

The Deadline is in... What did you put in for?
Flatlander replied to DeerCraver's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I put in for deer and sheep -
My odds crept up over 2% this year! I am as likely to draw a sheep tag as I am another antelope tag. Not sure if I should be excited about that or not.
-
You do not understand the draw. The first pass of the draw is executed by taking 20% of the tags for each hunt and distributing them to the applicants with the most bonus points. Once this pass is executed the remaining 80% of tags are distributed to applicants via the random number or "lottery" pass during which the first and second choice of each applicant is reviewed. This is referred to as the 1-2 pass. In this instance his 6 pts will put him in the bonus pass for the unit 23 hunt and not for the kaibab. Therefore he will be awarded a unit 23 tag before the 1-2 pass and will be unable to receive a kaibab tag. Clear as mud?

Check Eastman's MRS. It will answer all those questions.

Ummm I woke up today and didn't see an email from AZGFD saying the draw was extended. Is the world spinning backwards? -
I was referring to 5:00 when all the procrastinators get home from work and try to get their app in.
-
Must be quite a few max point holders on here.
-
Yeah just go back and look at your receipt. The hunt number is on it.
-
Just did a turkey bonus point just because. No problems whatsoever. T minus 7 hrs to procrastinator boo hoo fest.
-
Must be rough . . .

Well been waiting on my little bro's hunting license # for a month so we can apply for a deer hunt. It's now the night before and I am just waiting for the website to crash. This is pretty high on the list of things that really tork me off. -
A reply would have been nice.
