    For you sendevil fans...
  2. Hopefully its more interactive than the commission meetings where the commissioners eat lunch, text, take phone calls, check Facebook, and get up and walkout during the public comment time.

Like I said above I will root for them... let's just hope they do better in the post season than their football team...
  5. Excellent post Mr Smith. People love to spout off about things, but when the facts are laid out it gets real quiet.

    Breaking Hearts on Vday

Yes its hard to swallow that loss... but with that said maybe this will work out good for the Arizona basketball program. This team may well be the most talented team in the nation, but they need time to mature. The only Senior on the team is Jordan Mayes and he is the 8th man. Hopefully Arron Gordon, Nick Johnson, and Kaleb Tarzuski will realize they are not ready for NBA. That would be the best outcome of this season, returning everyone but Mayes. And with the number 1 recruiting class in the nation coming in next year it can only get better. So as hard as it is to say... good luck Devils. I will put away my pride and root for you in the NIT tournament.

    Beware of Sonoran Outfitters!

Sounds like some Lacey Act violations as well could be tacked on, provided the statue of limitations hasn't run out.
  10. Agreed it is probably way more than 1 million wasted. This audit was a limited one and not for the entire budget and agency...

    #11 and counting ...

Unfortunately unless you are a lion hunter working for the AZGFD you can't hunt lions with dogs in the sheep area due to the closures game and fish imposed. No dogs allowed in the sheep area, and No going off trail in the sheep area. So even if hunters wanted to go predator hunt on their own...they can't! This whole area is off limits to hunters now. More closures and restrictions on hunting in AZ.

I'm just saddened by the loss of hunting opportunity this failed expierment has caused. These 9 sheep especially the ewes that were pregnant are a loss of hunting opportunity in the units they were captured from.

    Undefeated season

I'll take that. Considering we aren't a "football school" We have a football team?
  23. Every year I take a new kid out hunting. I tell my son to pick one of his friends from school or baseball and ask him if he is interested in going on a free guided hunt. Then I talk to his parents and then get his license for him and apply for a hunt for him. I feel this is my way to give back to hunting. We all hear about it every year... the number of hunters continues to dwindle. Well that is something I can help turn around. Every kid I take hunting is usually hooked, and even if he never hunts again, he now has the knowledge and experience in him to support hunting. And hopefully when he grows up and is able to vote, he will cast a vote for hunting and against anything that will try and impeed hunting rights as well as maybe pass along hunting to someone else. This year it was Jackson's turn. He is the 8th kid I have taken, and he was not disappointed. I quickly glassed up one single pig this morning cresting a ridge. We quickly packed up our gear and raced (well not literally, it was a steep climb) to the top of the ridge. As I crept over the ridge I counted 8 javalina feeding 150yds away. I motioned for Jackson to come up to me and sit down. Jackson sat down put the rifle on the tripod and began looking for the pigs. Right about then I heard something that sounded like a train... it was actually Jackson breathing excitedly. I told him to take a few deep breaths and calm down. He did, and then squeezed of a round that struck the pig making him do a flip and then a death dance. As II looked at Jackson and said, " You got him", my reason for doing what I do was right there... a smile from ear to ear followed by a few high fives. He is definatley hooked and his first question was, "when can we hunt again". Mission accomplished...
  24. http://m.azstarnet.com/news/local/ariz-wildlife-agency-delays-information-on-bighorns/article_b6682fa9-8b1a-5875-9ad8-2e07832f3e63.html?mobile_touch=true You would think they would learn from the Obamacare debacle that delaying the numbers won't make it any better. This after the public meeting they had where they said they were going to be transparent? I don't understand their continued effort to step in it? (Sorry Tony Mandile, I couldn't find your new section for G&F bashing)
