    Tough Decision - Thoughts

I think Mulepackhunter has the best solutions but hard for you with renting. Carpet and drapes are the worst. If you could find a place with tile or wood floors. Chage the filters often and get the good ones. We also bought a small air purifier for my daughters room which really helps her. My daughter is allergic to darn near everything (which to her delight, keeps her from doing any chores outside) with cats and dogs being up there. She would kill us if we got rid of the animals so we vacuum her room almost daily. Give the dogs a bath almost daily and change the filters monthly. She had Asthma when she was younger but hasn't had the attacks in about 10 years. She has to take meds for it but we have made it work. It is a tough choice for you. Good luck and hopefully it works out for all.

    Dear Scumbag

Very well said. Started out the day reading about a homeless man who found a backpack full of money and turned it in and now reading about this. Gives me hope and saddens me at the same time.

    I Love Vortex!

Congrats Man! Glad somebody from this site won them. No offense but I wish it would have been me!
  15. They weren't flying as good as last year. Slow start and flying LOW! We could've limitied by 8:00 but my buddies were more worried about getting to IHOP. One buddy challenged us to the most birds with 1 box of shells. He got 1. My other buddy got 4 but I am sure he snuck back to the truck for more shells. I got 7. It should've been 9 but 2 birds kept flying after I shot most of their feathers off. I quit the follow through when I saw the feathers! They were like P51 Mustangs dropping their wing tanks before dogfighting! I'm still MAD!

    Dove hunting who went?

Crowds were about the same as last years opener. Had to instruct some hunters on shooting at low flyers (these guys walked out in front of us as we were already in position at first light) peppered us with a shot or 2. The action seemed a little bit slower than last year.
  18. What a Great opportunity. You have a great way with words and some incredible pictures. Thanks for sharing your hunt with us. Can't wait to read about the rest of the hunt.

    Non Resident solo hunt questions

That is a good assumption. Both have a bad affect on paint jobs. Welcome. You will become addicted. Like the others said, Just stay smart and aware and it should be fine. We have never had any issues down there. It is beautiful country and you will enjoy it. Keep putting the miles on those boots to get ready for your hunt. Thanks for your service. You guys ROCK!
