I grew up in payson many years ago. Not being negative we never left the house on the 3 day weekends. It's like an invasion of people. With that said I would agree with the comment about Chevlon go in the back way camp away from people and hike down and enjoy the lake. If you decide on any of the other lakes just get there at the crack of dawn and stake out your territory and be ready to get squeezed.

Great story and memories to last a lifetime.

I would wait to you were back to cash them in on a late coues tag so you can have time to scout and enjoy the hunt.

180 x 2 equals 360 without a spread. Kinda adds up.

That is a great coues buck. Nice muledeer also.

If this attaches to your bow would it not act like a kite if the wind was blowing? It seems it would really effect your hold even in a breeze. -
Great bird an a awesome family experience.

Good job AJ way to get it done.

That had to be exciting to walk up on that after looking for so long.

Verizon has pretty good coverage but there are plenty of no service areas. There is a hunting map of unit 10 I forget the name of it but someone will chime in on that.

I don't think the flip will have any baring on the late hunts. The rut will dictate that time of year. They will still do what ever is normal for them in the months after the rut.

Fish it all the time but I don't fish for stripers. The bass bite has been good alot of nice smallies and largemouth. We do on occaision catch big stripers when working crankbaits or topwater. If your bank fishing try off the end of the point at princess cove ramp the stripers will run close to the end of the point there. Fish mid cove for cats if you can find a spot on the bank. There is also a fishing area at katherens landing that you can work for cats and some bass. Below the dam try throwing good size swimbaits across the current or even big walking baits in may as top water should be going good. Top water for bass should be in full swing on the main lake also.

A tag with my kids name on it is way better than one with mine on it.

Big bo would be my choice.

I hope they nail him good. But in reality he will get a fine pay it off and just keep doing what he is doing.

Awesome sheds if your only going to find a few those are the ones.

How is he not caught already? You have the pics, you know his name, what else do they need?
-
Eltaco you are correct as you hit enough points for your second choice you were already drawn before the 1-2 pass. So you never had a chance at your first choice. But at least your hunting.

Wendt you know you can always sign your tag over to your son.

Almost every video I have seen these groups use have been high fenced or canned hunts. I don't want to appease anyone I just made a comment about what I have seen.
-
The anti's also love using video from high fenced canned hunts to fight normal hunting.

So what is sucking so bad?

I saw 1 on the refuge while fishing saturday. It was around 150 pounds or so. We saw a dead one after leaving Havasu state park last weekend. It was a couple miles up the old lake road heading north from the park.
