Red Rabbit replied to bonuspointjohn's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
The agreement says the recreational fee is not to exceed $60. Will it be 60, or a lesser amount? Any scuttle to that regard? -
Thanks for the BD wishes. Finished the day with some coconut shrimp .

I wonder if an email to Gary Hovatter would get confirmation on the details and timing, as he was the presenter. 7. Presentation on the Pilot Big Boquillas Ranch Access Project and Agreement and an update on the Landowner Compact. Presenter: Gary Hovatter, Deputy Director. The Department will provide the Commission with a presentation on the Pilot Big Boquillas Ranch Access Project and Agreement including an update on the elements of the Landowner Compact that will be incorporated into the program. -
G&F to vote this Friday remove baiting
Red Rabbit replied to bowhunter4life's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
According to the agenda, it should be later this morning. Right now (9:30am) they just finished item 5. Looks like item 9 will be about the baiting. -
No rush . There's still 4 1/2 weeks to research, agonize and change the mind daily before putting in with a hope and prayer. Good luck to ya in the draw

http://www.petersenshunting.com/2013/01/02/introducing-the-new-17-winchester-super-magnum/ The Browning Low Wall would be cool. I addition, he mentions in the video clip about a Savage repeater and single shot. -

Sounds like a good cartridge for prairie dogs. I guess it will be revealed at SHOT what rifles will be available for it also. -
My WY antelope tasted great/clean (as good as my AZ antelope), but one that I had from west Texas near Valentine and one from Unit 52 NM tasted bad. These are samples of one though. The area I hunted in WY did not have a lot of sage; it had some, but not a lot.

Yes, make 2013 a good one. It's 2* now here in Kachina, so bring that fire up here

We survived the Mayan ending so another year is ahead of us. What are your resolutions for the new year as they pertain to the outdoors? In July, I want to backpack up into the San Juans of Colorado, so I will need to get my legs and lungs in shape.

The hikes will be for photographing the alpine flowers. I hope there is a good snowpack this winter, as last year's led to a poor bloom. I should throw the flyfishing gear in the truck this year also. Have a great canyon hike. I think that is the best way to see it. What trails are you hiking?

ffm71, first, welcome to ya. I'm not a WY antelope expert, as i waited to get 4 BP before drawing my first hunt a few years ago. I guess driving past all those antelope in southwest Wy on the way to Yellowstone got to me. If you are looking for "sooner", you may wish to try the preference route if the extra $ is no issue. Some can't see over $500 for a NR antelope tag though. I have 2 PP again and am hoping to go back to WY. You might search other forums for info, as they may have more WY info. http://onyourownadventures.com/hunttalk/forumdisplay.php?f=432 http://24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/7004382/Searchpage/7/Main/496946/Words/wyoming%2Bantelope/Search/true/Re_Wyoming_Antelope#Post7004382
