Sorry for your loss. Dogs give all they have, all the time, what a gift they are. I attended the deer club banquet Saturday night. Barbs house of labs donated a chocolate female for auction. Great looking pup. I was going to bid on the pup but bidding quickly went above my price range. Barbs house of labs supports the deer association, might give them a call.

Road to Childs off highway 260 if, as you say Jerome can be seen from this road. IMO, this has got to be the view, as others have stated, from the rim of Bloody Basin looking east to the Mazatzal wilderness. Mount Ord is visible on the extreme right of the photo on the far horizon and upper racetrack mesa is visible too.

Learn the road system where you plan to hunt. Much of Anderson mesa is now roadless (if you adhere to the MVUM). Cool up on top, prime forage too. Much of it is not visible from legal roads .......

For the most part, I've had good luck drawing tags over the years. The exception is AZ antelope. Congrats to those who drew.

26 wasn't enough either.

Ahem, there were at least two idiots present ........

+1 on the EGW rail. I used Warne steel rings. Versatile & rugged. -
^^^^ This pretty much covers it.

The Exxon in Fredonia had a bunch of spectacular muley's. Been a very long time since I was there, don't know if they still are on display.

ASU got manhandled for 3 quarters. Devils have been strong in the 4th quarter all year. A couple lucky breaks (turnovers) was the difference. That, and a missed field goal attempt. Go Devils!

Don't know how I missed this thread ........ Outstanding buck, congrats. Great photo too.

Love those desert muleys. Congrats on your success. -
Long read but revealing. Desert muleys are bean eaters, except when desert finally gets some rain. Mule Deer Food Study.pdf

Contact Swaro USA/North America. Give them the serial # of your optic. If in fact grey market, Swaro N/A will tell you how to send to Europe for repairs. The warranty coverage for grey market is not as robust as a North American warranty. Either way, you'll discover for sure if you optic is grey market. Just because it is black does not neccesarily mean it's grey market.

Good on you! Congrats to your son.

Nice bull, good job on the stalk. Hope you heal quickly.

Never met the man, wished I had. Darn shame he did not write a book.

IIRC, Lamell Ellsworth was legendary in the units you are hunting. He was a tracker.

Beast! In my whole life I've never seen a coues buck like that. Congrats.

In a meeting with co-workers, somebody got a text from a news organization stating a plane had crashed into the WTC. Did not think much about it figuring some incompetent dolt crashed his Cessna 150 into a building. Solemn day. Later that night in my backyard, watching USAF aircraft flying grids over Phoenix was a sobering moment.
